Vehicle Detail
For your review is a vintage 1957 Coupe De Ville that is garage kept and covered when not being driven. This car is a true beauty that stands out where ever it is driven. The car has a new exhaust system, transmission rebuilt, and an engine that appears to be a recent rebuild and runs strong. The drive train on this car is excellent and it runs smoothly down the road. Additional restoration on this car include new brakes, fuel system cleaning, and gas tank cleaned and repaired. All of the windows work and the power seats work. All of the gauges on the car appear to be in working condition. The color of the car appears to be #46 Mountain Laurel based on a color chart from 1957 cadillacs. The color appears as a soft pink and has a white top. There are no missing parts on this car and everything appears to be there. The chrome is pitted in a few areas and there does not appear to be any damage to the body. The condition of the car is exceptional for its age. The undercarriage appears to be solid and free from rust. There are some very minor rust spots in the door jam. They appear to be on the surface only. The pans on this car appear to be original and rust free. The interior of the car has fabric and leather seats. The leather is a pink tone and the fabric is black. It appears to be the original interior and there was a repair evident on one door. I believe that the interior seats and carpet are original and are free of rips or tears. The dash appears to be original. All interior lights work as well as the seats and windows. The original AM radio is in the car and only worked one time. It should be easy to repair. This car is almost perfect! It is also important to indicate what this car needs to take it to the next level. I have spent over $8000 dollars on restoration after I purchased the car and the original owner obviously spent a great deal of money or kept the car pristine. I have no way to know which; however, I can say the car is beautiful. The car runs very nice and is a fun car to ride in. It always receives compliments where ever it goes. Now what the car needs to be taken to the next level. The car needs springs and shocks. I have been given an estimate of $1795 to complete this. The wipers need to have a electric motor installed as the compression wipers do not work very well. Finally, the heater was bypassed in this car and would need attention. The windows appear to be fine but are not perfect. To be honest for a 54 year old car this car is exceptionally clean. It is well on its way to be a show car but someone else will need to take it to the next level as we are moving and do not have space to store this car. I have run a magnet around this car and can only find one area that has a repair. It is on the drivers side rear fender. There appears to be a small patch of bondo however the magnet still grabs to the metal. I have told you everything that I know about this car. Please come see it or send your agent. The car is sold as is where is. The odometer reading may not be the actual miles that the car has been driven and the odometer turns back to zero at 100,000 miles. The buyer is responsible for the cost of transportation. A cash deposit via PayPal of $1,000 dollars is due within 24 hours to the successful bidder. If you have no feedback information please contact me prior to bidding and if you have recent negative feedback please contact me before bidding. I reserve the right to cancel a bid if a buyer with no feedback or negative feedback does not contact me and get permission to bid on the car. The balance of the purchase price must be paid before the pink slip (certificate of title) is released. Also the car will not be released before it is paid for in full. I prefer that the buyer use a wire transfer to speed the purchase. If a cashiers check is used for payment it must be drawn on a major bank in the United States, such as Bank of America or Wells Fargo, etc. I am sorry to require this as there are those who will send a fraudulent check. Do your reseach and be sure you are ready to buy. I am an honest person and will send the car after the monies has cleared the bank.
