Vehicle Detail

1969 MGB Roadster. Original 1800cc engine. Old English White exterior, black interior. 4 speed transmission. 89,085 miles on odometer. Older restoration (paint, frame, body) but in great shape. Very sane body with few finishing bondo mainly on rear left fender. Previous owner performed the following within the last 2,000 miles: complete tune up (valves adjustment, timing, etc);compression: 145-150lbs; carburators, distributor, spark plugs, points, rotor, condenser, complete brakes job including: rotors, backing plates, calipers, pads, rear brakes, cylinder seals.Complete suspension job including: king pins, shocks, front & rear springs. Reconditioned gas tank & gas pump. New 12V battery, reconditioned alternator, reconditioned radiateor, new hoses & collars all around, wire (spoke) wheels completely sandblasted & ionized. Includes full size spare wheel. 2 year old tires.Faults: ding close to back wheel arch (photo ) & part of interior door frame has come off (on back seat ready to be refitted) (photos ).Looking for a reliable MGB in rare color to join the club? This one has been very well restored a few years back & has been mechanically refreshed 2 years ago & maintained regularly from then on by the current owner - ready to hit the road trouble free! The paint is in decent shape. The chrome is in average shape with some fading & scratches but still decent. The interior is in good shape (carpets, dash, instruments, knobs). You will notice in the engine bay pics that it is quite well detailed & clean & so is the trunk area with superficial rust spots. The engine runs very smooth as is the transmission except for a light 'hooking' on 2nd gear when downshifting. You will be very proud to own the MGB - turn the key & enjoy!
