Rare Semi Automatic VW Beetle Convertible has its own personality! Has stock gas instant heater and semi automatic sets this car apart from non-other still on road. Mileage is on 3rd speedometer, actual mileage unkown. This project car is fun to drive and has a great engine. The semi-automatic transmission allows you to change gears from 1-2 without a clutch. This vehicle is also equipped with a low gear for starting up on a hill or taking off from light with a little more "get up". The number one nead is for new brakes, if you did the brake work you could drive this bug everyday. Brakes work now but only by continual pumping. Exterior: The pale yellow paint is weathered and this classic has many bumps and bruises. There is rust on all fenders and running boards. The frame is solid, undercarriage has rust. The top frame works great but the canvas needs to be replaced. I purchased a new top but did not install, top is included in this auction. Bumpers are dinged up but still shine. Interior: Black interior is stock. The seats have covers but need to be restored. The steering wheel, horn, dash, knobs, heater shifters, window wipers, and radio are all original. Horn works but bar is broken on steering wheel. Seat belts are lap belts. This 1970 classic convertible is for someone who appreciates and loves bugs and has time to finish. I have no time to work on the needs to make it 100%. Again, top needs are new top and brakes, engine is strong.
