Vehicle Detail
Please don't look at the seat, that is the only thing wrong with this bike and I have an correct '71 seat cover (heat stamped seams-not stitched, Honda logo across the back) on the way and it will be included with your bike. Just freed from 17 years of hibernation and properly waken up by Twinline motorcycles of Seattle, Wa. This 1971 Honda CB-750 K1 has been a garage kept and sunny weather bike it's whole life and it shows. I gave it only a bath to wash the dust off. The previous owner was an engineer who was meticulous in his care for this bike and it shows. If you want to stop reading now the pictures will tell you everything. It starts up immediately and the carbs are in proper tune. Ian at Twinline was so impressed by the overall condition of the bike that he put the bike up on the dyno. It put out 53 rear wheel horsepower which is great for a stock early 750. Needless to say it runs like day one. The previous owner toured locally with the bike and he added the king and queen seat and period correct mufflers. He also added 4way flashers, highway bars, fabric saddlebags, air horns(!) and a clear shield fairing on the bike but I removed the last five to go back to stock. If I find a stock CB750 seat before the auction ends I'll include that too along with your included correct seat cover. 13,772 original miles on the odometer works out to approximately 500 miles per year when he was riding (1971-94) and those are warm, sunny miles. It truly was/is a garage queen but no 40 year old bike can be perfect. These are the only flaws I can find; the tank top has marks from the key set while riding, the headlight bucket paint needs touchup from where the windshield rubber rubbed, needs the horn and a perfect front fender. That's it. All the lights and electronics work and all the gauge idiot lights work. The in gauge idiot light lenses are even intact and have not fallen into the interior of the gauges like all the other K0/K1 gauges. All the signal lenses match with no stress cracks or UV cracks. The foot pegs and bar ends and lever ends and mirror ends and brake pedal and turnsignal housings are perfect so this bike has never been laid over. Both the kickstand and center service stand 'ball end' are intact too. Just like an engineer would do, there are some books and extra parts included like an extra carb rack and some misc. pieces. The tool kit is included and I'll lay everything out tomorrow and include a pic of the original tools (they have the "HM" logo on them) and the extra parts tomorrow. Since this motor cycle is for sale locally I reserve the right to end the auction early. A $500 deposit is due within 5 business days to secure your interest in this motorcycle after winning it and full balance is due within 10 days after auction end. If you are mailing payment just mail it Priority mail with signature return receipt. Your new bike is located in Seattle, WA 98188 and I would prefer the winner to pick up the bike or have your shipper pick it up but if you need some time to arrange shipping after you win it I'll store your new bike in my garage with full payment until you can come get it or arrange shipping. It would be beneficial to both parties to talk live after the auction ends to arrange final details so expect a phone call Sunday night after you win it. Clean and Clear title is included with your new bike and the VIN# is CB750-1047587 if you want to run it to protect yourself. If you've never bought a motor bike on eBay before, email me and we'll talk to get your research questions answered so you will feel comfortable before you bid. Since this auction ends on a Sunday night when everyone will be home there will be last minute bidders trying to steal your new vintage CB750 KI away from you so bid wisely and use ebay's Proxy Bid system to your advantage. I even took some shots of the undercarriage too. Email me and include your email if you want me to send these extra photos to you. To answer a few of your questions: Headlight is an H4 for better brightness, tires are Continentals and they have good tread with no cracking. Inspections are welcomed, just call. Jim 2O6 725-CELL (mobile). On Jun-16-11 at 15:53:16 PDT, seller added the following information: UPDATE: Your new seat cover just came in. Also, to answer a couple more questions: Inside the gas tank is clean but used. No flaking rust or loose particles. The front fender has some ripples on the back side in front of the engine (not even visible in the pics) and the rear lip is tweaked but not creased. Like I say in the description, a perfect fender is needed to match the overall condition of this bike. Also, this is a ONE OWNER bike. Call if you have any questions, Jim
