Up for Auction is this 1928 Ford Model AA 11/2 Ton Pick-up Truck. ( Low Reserve ! ) This is exactly the kind of truck used in the Walton's TV show. This truck belongs to a friend of mine. He needs to thin down on some of his vehicles, antiques and stuff. This truck is complete except there is no bed. I believe originally it would have just a wooden flat bed or possibly stakes on the side ? The truck has its original 4cyl engine and 4speed manual transmission. The truck will run and drive fine. It goes into all gears smoothly. It will need a battery charge, fresh gas and the tires look to be pretty old. I would change them before any long trip. The truck is very presentable just as it is and apprears to be in real good condition for its age and surprisingly No Rust ! I have crawled all around it and cannot find any rust anywhere on the truck cab or frame. Even the windshield frame is nice and solid. All of the wood on this truck is in very good shape. The doors are hand fabricated and not original, but seem to work fine and seem to blend in with the truck ok. Also included with this sale is an additional complete spare motor and trans just like what is in the truck ! He doesn't know the condition of these parts and has never run either of them. I would assume they are just for parts. This truck would look really neat in an old barn of lean too.
