Long story short, my mother found out that I bought it and said she’d break both of my legs if I ever rode it. (She figured broken legs were better than a broken back/neck/etc...true story.) So, being the good son, I never rode another bike since then. Also being the lazy son, I’m just now getting around to selling it. The bike was never registered in my name. I do have the title which is signed by the individual I purchased it from. The title has it listed as a ’91 which I don’t understand, but it was cleanly titled all the same. I never got too familiar with this bike, so here is the description from the original eBay sale: “Vehicle Description This is a great, fast, light 2 stroke. I'm selling it because I'm moving and won't have a place to store it. It has always been garaged. It runs very well and starts on the first kick. The transmission shifts smoothly and well with no gear having any trouble being engaged. It is a 6 speed. Has ~5 gallon tank and ~1.5 litre oil injection resevoir. I have had the bike for 2 years and have never had a problem. It is very comforable and Im 6'3". Has ~45 hp and weighs around 290lbs wet so it really does fly. Top speed is around 115mph. It feels much faster than it is but it still flies. I had a friend who had a 650 hawk and my bike was a hair quicker than his so it does move. With it being so light it is very agaile as well. The fork seals, front tire, gold valve cartridge emulators, front pads, and trans oil are all new in the last 100 miles. The rear tire had about 800 miles on it. The steering bearings were replaced last year with high quality roller bearings. Over all the bike is in very good condition. There are a few small scratches/nicks here and there and a nickel sized ding on the side of the gas tank but over all the bike is clean. I would say it is a strong 8.5 out of 10, you only notice these if you are right next to it. It is titled in MD and of course street legal. The speedo is in kilometers. I had no problem getting it titled/registered when I bought it 2 years ago. The bike is stock except for K&N filter pods and the gold valves, which really did make it much nicer. The frame (aluminum) is straight with no damage and the bike has never been raced or down. Parts have not been a problem at all. VIN# is MC111004706. I have it insured with progressive and it was not a problem. I will answer all questions as best I can. Vehicle Condition As above. 8.5 out of 10. Only spectro used throughout bike with Si-7 synthetic as the 2-stroke oil. Seat is in great shape, everything works. All lights and switches operate as they should. Brakes work great. Jump on and ride away. Paint and graphics are original.” I have tried to photograph as much as possible (please disregard the deplorable condition of my backyard). The bike isn’t in what I would personally consider 8.5 out of 10 condition, but given it’s age, it is in pretty good shape. Most of the exterior damage appears to be from just moving it around in storage or parked scrapes. Does not appear to have been dropped or sustained any sort of crash damage. Mechanically it is still sound. It will still start on the first or second kick. It does still have some 8+ year old gas still in it (which has been diluted with fresh gas), so that would be the reason for the occasional second kick. I just installed a new battery as of 6/7/11. It is a 2-stroke, so it does smoke out the tailpipes at full song and all of the NS250R reports I’ve read state that this is a normal occurrence. Also, the bike sat in one spot for quite some time. That being said, I’m unsure if the tires have become flat spotted. I haven’t seen any signs of dry rotting or anything and they holding pressure seemingly fine. Terms of sale: Due to my lack familiarity with this bike and my lack of ability to properly test it on the street it is being sold completely as-is. No guarantees or warrantees stated or otherwise implied. Purchaser to arrange for pickup/transport. Deposit of $100 required within 2 days of auction close. Remainder due within 7 days of auction close. "Buy It Now" price does not reflect on the Reserve Price (which is lower). Ask any questions and I will do my best to answer.
