1993 BMW R-Series

This is 1993 BMW R100R with a ural sidecar. It has 14k original miles. From the paperwork I have the ural sidecar was installed in early 2004 by a company called Dauntless Motors out of Covington, WA. I have all of the paperwork and spec sheets for the side car. I aquired the motorcycle and side car together in February from a neighbor. Since I have owned the bike, I have done the following: Oil and filter change New air filter Cleaned out the fuel system and carbs New battery (oversize) This motorcycle is in excellent mechanical condition and needs nothing. I would feel confident driving this motorcycle anywhere. From what I have researched on the internet, these "airheads" have issues with battery charging under 2800 rpm. BMW's answer to this is to keep the rpm's above 2800 so that the voltage regulator kicks in. Per a local motorcycle mechanic, I have installed the biggest battery that would fit (a 235cca). Cosmetically the motorcyle is in very nice shape. The paint on the gas tank, fendors and side cars are in excellent shape. The finish on the motorcycle frame and side care frame has a nice patina to it, showing only minor rust in spots. The wheels are in nice shape, showing only minor wear. The upolhestry on the bike and side car are in like new condition showing zero wear. All tires, including the spare on the side car, are in like new condition. I also have a Tonneau cover for the side car and the wind screen for the side car. I also have all parts needed to put the motorcycle back to the original condition (before the side car was installed). All electronics work, with the exception of the right side blinker bulb on the center display. Overall, this motorcyle is in great shape. This is a no reserve auction and this bike will be sold.
