Vehicle Detail
Hi all, this is one of the most rare classic/vintage BMW , only made five years ( 1955-1960 ) with ONLY 2,956 EVER MADE .... way less than the 11,317 R69S ever made or 17,306 R60/2. with that said let's talk about this bike....This bike is matching numbers bike, the bike is a 3 owner bike (origina owner purchased in europe, second owner imported the bike into the US back in the '60s and me) its belived the bike was the first R69 that came to the US, still haves the Vintage customs ID tag on it. Now its currently registered in California until Dec. 2011, The bike is in great condition, it haves fresh paint in the fenders, tank, and headlight , the frame is ok, but not perfect. The bike went thru a mechanical restoration that goes from brakes to a FULL MOTOR REBUILT (incluiding crank shaft), it haves a 12V convertion upgrade. Its all documented, i have documentation for the bike that dates as back as the '70s. Is a well documented bike, that goes from estimates to receipts. the bike is only been ridden about 600 miles after engine rebuilt. This is the bike to complete your collection or to make a great investment for the really near future. I had some time yesterday to install the denfeld solo seat on the bike and headlight bumm mirrors and it looks way nicer like that, so i will be selling with that set up Please take a look at the pictures, here is a link of the bike getting started with the motor being cold, ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iEotzBo6Uqc&feature=youtube_gdata_player ) ask as many as questions as you want, and have a happy bidding. Local buyers please contact me if you want to see the bike in person or go for a test ride (only with a Motorcycle license an insurance) I will assist with shipping, But all shipping cost and arraigments are to be made by new owner. $500 deposit is due 48 hrs after auction ends thru Paypal Thank you for looking On May-28-11 at 20:18:07 PDT, seller added the following information: The motor was rebuilt by Cycle Works in Oregon WI.
