Vehicle Detail
Not being able to ride front drum brake motorcycle anymore I have to sell my Suzuki T500 Titan. The bike is cosmetically stock with its original paint (with touch ups!) and good chrome. The amount of work done by the previous is very extensive and covers all of the problems encountered by a 40 years old bike; list of work done is as follow: replaced battery, new tires, true wheels, new inner tubes and bands, new rear wheel bearings, new drive chain, replaced fork seals and oil, replaced clutch lever (+ new spare clutch cable and front brake lever), disassembled cleaned lubed and adjusted front and rear brake cams and spindles, lubed swing arm bushings, new oil tank sight glass, rebuilt and adjust carbs, new intake manifolds, disassemble clean and lube vacuum petcock, modify crankcase to hold 200 cc more gear oil (as per Suzuki technical notice, see picture of the work), replaced gear clusters and shafts with better ones ( used), new crank seals, new std bore pistons, rings, pins, clips and small end bearings. Honed cylinders to .003" piston clearance. Big end bearings rod wobble at small end: .055" (maximum allowable= .118"). All new seals and gaskets. Clutch plates: all flat and within .001" of new thickness. Clutch springs: all above minimum length. I have a new coil to go with the bike as the sparkplug wires are very hard; New seat cover just installed. User manual (repro) is coming with the bike too. As any 40 years old 2 strokes the oil tank can “wet sump” a little bit so it smokes a little when started after a long period of lay off. Every electric items work as they should. The only not working thing is the zeroing of the odometer… This can be a great user bike or parts of any collection and if you like 2 strokes a must to have!
