Vehicle Detail

I cannot save them all, but maybe you can save this one. 1967 Mustang fastback. Door tag: Body 63A (fastback) Color K (Nightmist Blue)Trim 2B (Standard Blue) Date 26J ( 26 Sept) DSO 330014 ( Detroit is 33 and the 0014 indicates this was a special order car that had some kind of non-standard production feature, but I have no idea what that was, however a full Marti report would likely have this information) Axle O (2.78:1) Trans 5 ( 4spd manual) . 1967 production was 472,209 and only 2,082 were fastbacks with this color and interior. While this may be a unique car, it is not for the faint of heart. It will need a full restoration to include most of the major sheetmetal. A Detroit DSO means a part of this car's life could have been spent in the salt. Expect Full floors, front frame rails, maybe inner rockers and at least one rear rail has a hole, on side of the truck frame is rusted through and the drop offs are gone. The doors are rusting in the corners ( one does not open the other will not latch) as are the front fenders. The quarters had some horrible flares put on at some time and I have no idea what is under them, but expect the worst and I imagine while you are in there you will replace the inner wheel wells. The turn signal hood is dented and has holes and is not usable, one of the hinges is broken, battery tray is rusted out but the shock towers have not been cut open to access the grease fittings. When I bought this car in 2004 I drove it onto the trailer and have not started it since. There is a trans in place but reverse did not work at the time. The VIN says 289 4v, but there is a Fred Jones tagged (D9TZAL) Motorcraft rebuilt 2V on a C8AE-9426-B Ford intake that was on it when I got it. I have no idea if the engine or tran are orginal to the car. The console is from a 65-66 and rough. The rear fold down seat is all there as is the rear trim , trap door and handle. The front seat frames are probably ok. I have a usable, standard hood and another set of doors in good shape I am including with the car. All glass is intact, the windshield has a small arc in it from trash in the wiper I suspect, but it is not scored and may polish out. I am selling because I recently downsized into a smaller garage and I have too many projects, so I would like to see this go to someone who might actually work on it. An alternate thought is as a parts car and VIN transfer for a Dynacorn body build. Ask a lot of questions if you want to know more info before you bid and if you want photos of a particular area please ask and I will email to you. The guy who sold it to me realized he was over his head and to be honest the car was worse than I expected when I got it but I was still willing to give it a shot , however I do not want you to have any bad surprises, so again ask questions! Note my feedback is 100% and I have been on EBAY a long time so I try my best to give accurate info and answer all questions before someone buys from me. The reserve is what I gave in 2004 for just the car, so I think this is still a good deal for someone. No down payment required by paypall, etc, but you will need to pay in cash when you pick up the car. If you need more info than easy by e-mail, send me your number and I can call you and answer questions. Car is sold with bill of sale only, however I will give you my bill of sale from the person I bought it from, and a bill of sale I found from the last titled owner (with the 1996 issued GA title) to the person she sold it to, in order to help track chain of ownership. Good luck in bidding. On May-28-11 at 17:02:25 PDT, seller added the following information:Correction: I listed the Axle as a "0" and 2.78:1 but it is a 1 on the door tag which would be 3.0 :1 . I assume that it is the orginal rear end under there and I can't say for sure, but I wanted to correct the door tag info anyway.
