I have up for auction an ALL ORIGINAL 1969 COUGAR Convertible that was restored a few years ago that I literally got out of a barn. This is an extremely solid car with no rust. The car is an all original 351W, automatic (Rare FMX transmission), power disc brakes, power steering, power convertible top car. There is not a lick of rust on the car and is in great shape. This is not a show car and does need a little work to button it up. This Cougar runs outstanding. I was the first one to start the engine after the rebuild. I had it running for over an hour standing still and the temp stayed steady between 165 and 180 degrees the entire time. The brakes have just been bled and are in great condition. As the car was being put back together the completion was stopped by the previous owner. That's why I say it needs small things like some of the lights hooked up, and little things like that. It has a new interior, great dash pad, new power convertible top, new gas tank; again there is no rust on this car. It needs a neutral safety switch and front end alignment. The color really jumps out with the black convertible top. There is a small surface rust spot on the rear quarter (see pictures) along with a little bubbling where the quarter was installed. I just don’t think the seam was prepped properly before paint but will be an easy fix and not rusting. The front marker lenses are with the car they just need to be installed and the headlights doors need to be hooked up. I do have the arm rests, I removed them and the door panels so you could see how clean the inside of the doors are. The inside of the trunk looks like the Cougar is still on the show room floor.
