RE-LISTING DUE TO NON-PAYING BIDDER. IF YOU DON'T INTEND TO BUY PLEASE DON'T WASTE MY TIME NOR YOURS! THANKS I am only the 3rd owner of this car, and have had it for a little over 2 years. I don't have any records or receipts from the first owner, but I do have all receipts from second owner and have kept records of everything that I've done to it since I purchased it. Just about every common e34 problem has been addressed on this car, so the new owner shouldn't have too much to worry about. Here's what’s been done....... Mods: -DINAN Stage 1 suspension (DINAN springs w/Bilstein shocks) - have original springs too -DINAN free flow exhaust -DINAN chip - have original as well Maintenance/repairs: -Full front end rebuild w/Lemfoerder parts (upper control arms w/750 bushings, lower control arms, center link, outer tie rod links, pitman arm, sway bar links) -Replaced upper strut mounts and all bump stops, spring pads, nuts & bolts, etc. when replacing shocks -Replaced all brackets and rubber hangers when replacing the exhaust -Replaced center resonator with exhaust -Rear subframe bushings replaced -Rear dogbones replaced -Clutch slave cylinder replaced -Guibo, center support bearing, & transmission mounts replaced -All brake pads & rotors replaced -Brake fluid has been flushed yearly, including clutch -Coolant flushed yearly -Power steering fluid flushed yearly -Trans. and diff. fluid flushed -Oil/filter changed every 5k -Power steering hoses replaced -Tires replaced when I bought it, but need to be replaced now -Starter motor replaced -Battery replaced about a year ago, also replaced the voltage regulator in the alternator at the same time -Heat & A/C blower fan replaced -Fan resistor (sword) replaced -Previous owner changed timing belt on schedule at 60k & 120k (stickers are under the hood to prove it), and was changed at 145k due to age, replacing the water pump at that time as well -Most cooling lines replaced around the same time as water pump ( I think all of them but can't remember off the top of my head) along with thermostat -Idle control valve along with all intake hoses and boots in front of throttle body -All common tune up items (cap, dizzy, rotor, plugs, plug wires, air/fuel filters, belts, etc.) have been replaced -Instrument clusters were problematic in the early e34s and this one was no different. Had the capacitors replaced and it all works as it should now, even replaced all the lights. Also replaced speed sensor in the differential around the same time. -Also had problems with the door locks at first, but have replaced the driver's door latch and both driver's side lock actuators. Passenger side door is still locked however, but fixable…I just haven’t had time lately -Several small items done out of either necessity or as preventive measures, including hood & trunk shocks, fuel door hinge, all brake lights and signal bulbs (headlights still original), sunroof seal, door handle trims, etc. Condition: Overall, the car is in pretty good condition for a 22 year old car but is not perfect. I planned on keeping this car for a long time but unfortunately, the search for a new truck changed my plans. -Exterior: Freshly painted less than 3 weeks ago. -Interior: Seats are in good shape. Leather shows some wear, and only one rip on the drivers seat. Drivers arm rest is ripped pretty badly and will need to be re-covered. No sagging headliner. No cracks in the dash, and the console is in good shape. The door panels need some help. They were in really bad shape when I got it, and I've done my best to patch them up. The rears actually don't look too bad, as I was able to just re-glue them. I tried to re-glue the fronts as well, but the material has shrunk to the point where it's almost a lost cause. They are still holding together and are functional, but need to be replaced if you want them to look good. The passenger side rear door needs a new actuator and will not open but not a costly repair. -Electrical: All electronics work as they should, including the cruise control and heated seats. I replaced all the fuses in the car when I got it as a precautionary measure so they should be good. It has an aftermarket Sony CD/mp3 player, which I installed only because the original unit's display died. All windows and sunroof work as they should. -Mechanical: Pretty good overall shape, really. Again, it's a 22 year old car, so it doesn't run like a new car. But it is very solid, and has never really given me any problems other than having its clutch replaced. The m20 engine is very solid, and easy to work on (has more room in the engine bay than any other e34 I can promise you). It starts every time, and still gets 27-28mpg on the highway. I wouldn't hesitate to take it on a long trip, and have done so many times. A/C is still strong, and as far as I know still using the original R12 coolant. Sorry for the long email, just want to be as thorough as possible. Please call me @ (919) 699-6729 and ask for Courtney. This is really a great car but the family is getting bigger and we need an SUV, so my baby 525i must go. Asking $3000 for this car and that's below the blue book value for this car is this shape! My lost is your gain! Car is also being sold locally, therefore auction may end early! Thanks for looking!
