Vehicle Detail
Re-listed with lower reserve and low "buy it now" - Mechanic owned and maintained. Runs great. Idles, accelerates, and shifts smoothly. Everything works except both left side power door locks, and the right rear roof A/C vent is missing - not sure what happened to it, looks like it just snaps into the headliner. Also, the XM dock shown in the dash pic does not convey. The mileage is almost entirely highway. We purchased it when it was about a year old to transport the kids and their teammates to sporting events and tournaments. They are grown now, and we simply do not use it much anymore. Here is the history: Started life as a rental vehicle for a national chain. It was sold back to Ford, and then found its way to our local Ford dealer. That's when we bought it in March of '02 with about 22k miles on it. Shortly after we purchased it, the engine developed an internal noise and was replaced by Ford. The truck had about 25k miles on it at the time, so mileage on the engine is about 150K. As a professional auto tech, I made sure that the job was done right.... down to every nut, bolt, clamp, clip, and bracket. I wanted it to look and function like it just left the assembly line. Since then, the truck has never let us down. It was hit in the left rear about a year and a half ago. The damage was minor, and required a new bumper and repair of the left barn door. This is reported in the CarFax report. Last summer I replaced the entire front axle assembly from an '04 with just 33k miles on it. This was due to a bad axle bearing that damaged the axle tube slightly. I replaced all brakes at the same time. The tires are about 3 years old and in good shape... The battery is good... A/C blows cold... Heater control valve is about 2 years old... Body, paint, and interior are all nice for the age and mileage, but it does show signs of normal cosmetic wear & tear. The truck could use a good cleaning. Next oil change is due at 180K. A non-refundable deposit of $500 via PayPal is required within 72 hours of auction close. Clear title will be signed over upon receipt of verified funds. Note that my 100% feedback is important to me... If you have any questions, PLEASE ASK! I will answer in a timely manner. Thank you!
