Vehicle Detail

This listing is for a 1988 Pontiac Trans-AM GTA with the factory Notchback roof option. This 5.7TPI F-Body GTA is in exceptional original condition that is rarely seen for this near classic car. I hate to see it go, but, I have too many toys and too little space and need to make room. If you missed buying one of these cars new, now is your chance to get one in nearly new condition for a great price. I have owned this car 11 years after purchasing it from the original owner with 30,xxx miles. AFAIK, it has NEVER been driven in the rain or snow/salt. The original owner told me he had never driven the car in rain or inclement weather and I know I never have. There is absolutely not a single spec of rust on the car. The car has 43,864 original miles, and except for leather (which dries and cracks at this age), it has every option including 5.7 TPI engine, digital dash, posi rear end, factory notchback roof, power everything, etc... I have the original build sheet that lists the all of options. The car has NEVER been smoked in. The interior is all original and in excellent condition.I put a stereo system in the car that did not require a single hole to be drilled or any permanent modifications to be done that could not be put back to stock. As seen in the pictures, the rear amplifiers and controller are in a custom made rack that simply sits in the rear hatch well. There is a small selector/controller that sticks on the dash to control source and volume (Rockford Fosgate 3 Sixty). The speakers are Polk audio and the system sounds really good with 3 vintage Carver M-240 power amplifiers (from the late 80's). You can connect to the Rockford Fosgate controller with a bluetooth laptop to reprogram the audio system.Body and mechanical is 100% and I have never had any problems with this car. The engine runs excellent, does not leak a drop, and puts a lot of power to the ground. Same for the transmission. The only "issue" the car has is the occasional puff of smoke on startup after having sat for a while. This is common with these cars and is simply some oil getting past the valve seals after extended storage. The original owner had sub frame connectors welded into the car back in the early 90's so the body is tight and solid.Paint is original and in excellent condition as you can see in the pictures with typical chips and some touch ups done by me. All in all the car is in outstanding condition as it was loved by both me and the previous owner. I put a new set of tires on this past fall, so the car is ready to roll and needs nothing. I put a new Sears ultimate AGM battery in this spring. All of my vehicles are properly cylinder fogged, tank filled and Stabil added, oiled, and stored the last week of October, and brought out again April 1'st the following spring. This GTA has always had Mobil-1 synthetic oil and transmission fluid. This car has never been 1/4 mile drag raced, stunted, burnouts, or otherwise abused or any other such nonsense. Some of those things I did long ago in the 80's when I was in my early 20's.....not in 2011 in my mid 40's. The car has never been wrecked or damaged in any way.If you like classic GTA Pontiacs, I guarantee you will look a LONG time to find another original notchback GTA (Pontiac only made 624) as clean as this one for the price. This car is in outstanding original condition with low miles that has been meticulously taken care of. Most F-body T/A’s available for sale these days have been extensively modified, wrecked and repaired, left in the weather, or just plain look like they are 20+ years old…..Not this one. I have sold several vehicles on ebay, and I have 500+ perfect feedback. I do not sell junk or misrepresent my listings in any way. The title is clean with no salvage, lemon, or other nonsense. The vehicle history is clean with no accidents, no insurance claims, and no mechanical problems. The detailed and closeup pictures in the listing are of the actual 1988 Pontiac Trans-Am GTA for sale. This car needs nothing and is ready for cruising.Included with this listing is the original factory owners manual/pouch, build sheet, factory service manual, and everything stated above.A $500.00 deposit is required via PayPal within 24 hours of purchase. Pickup in person is fine as long as cash is provided for payment. Any form of personal check, money order, or cashier’s check will require 7-10 days to clear my bank before the vehicle or title is released to the buyer. This vehicle is also for sale locally, and a local sale will take priority over ebay. The first person with $10K in cash gets it. Not to sound rude, but I am not going to take $1 less than $10k for this car. Please do not email lowball offers, trades, or anything else. Thank you for looking at this fine automobile.....good luck!!*** UPDATE *** See these links for additional pics:http://www.pdlx.com/build.jpg http://www.pdlx.com/optionsticker.jpg http://www.pdlx.com/under1.jpg http://www.pdlx.com/rear1.jpg http://www.pdlx.com/rear2.jpg http://www.pdlx.com/rear3.jpg http://www.pdlx.com/rear4.jpg http://www.pdlx.com/rear5.jpg http://www.pdlx.com/rear6.jpg http://www.pdlx.com/rear7.jpg http://www.pdlx.com/rear8.jpg http://www.pdlx.com/rear9.jpg http://www.pdlx.com/spare1.jpg http://www.pdlx.com/spare2.jpg http://www.pdlx.com/spare3.jpg http://www.pdlx.com/notchvin.jpg http://www.pdlx.com/battery.jpg http://www.pdlx.com/cowl1.jpg http://www.pdlx.com/cowl2.jpg http://www.pdlx.com/cowl3.jpg http://www.pdlx.com/headlight.jpg http://www.pdlx.com/engine2.jpg http://www.pdlx.com/engine3.jpg http://www.pdlx.com/hoodvin.jpg
