WHITE JETTA 2000 153,500 miles This car was driven without problems for awhile till the chain started to act up. Transmission shifts great and the clutch grabs really nicely, the handling is extremely good. The tires have 99% tread left and handle highway speeds extremely well, steers arrow straight and smooth ride. all bearings good no smoke no leaks very clean. immaculate interior. no electrical or mechanical problems. no rips no stains all complete. The exterior is just as good. only two small dents one on the fender one on the passenger door. The underside is clean enough to eat off, no rust not even any surface rust! its amazing. Now the problem. cam position sensor showed a problem which lead to a problem with the timing chain. on the way to bring it to the shop, it finally had enough and the valves let go enough to hit the pistons. i towed it to the shop they removed the head and found the pistons undamaged and functioning normally. The head had the damage. almost a complete loss for the head. I was told it needed to be rebuilt or replaced. Motors are not too expensive but labor is and i cannot afford to keep this car and fix it. It's a shame because its a beautiful car. If you have any questions I check my messages daily.
