Vehicle Detail

1970 Corvette Coupe Numbers Matching 350/350 4 Speed 100% ready to show and cruise Dual Chrome bumper C3's have been amassing quite a collector following and this matching number Corvette is priced to sell, so bid to win. This 1970 Corvette houses its factory 350/350hp numbers matching engine shifted by a its numbers matching Muncie 4 speed transmission. This is one of those cars that is 100% reliable to drive, has been extremely well cared for and has had minor upgrades over the years to assure a quality drive. Definite car that you can cruise to car shows in, or travel to a new destination on vacation and know that is it fun to drive and has the looks to gets tons of attention. It is also the caliber to add to a auto collection and admire for years to come. Cruises nicely down the road and has an excellent throaty sound. The windshield wipers and headlights all work like they should! Even the Fiber optics work! She can sit for weeks and start right up for a cruise. There are an amazing amount of quality features on this car. This car is ready to cruise now... Engine: (L46) 350/350 V0306CTH 70S409370 (matching numbers) Back Casting Number 3970010 CTH= 350/350 Rochcester Q Jet/Performance Cam/4 Speed Transmission: Plate 952659WB 70S409370 P0E05 Transmission # 3925661 Options: Numbers Matching 350/350hp engine Numbers Matching Muncie 4 speed Tilt/Telescopic Steering Wheel Power Steering Blaupunkt CD Changer Be Cool Aluminum Radiator4 wheel Disc Brakes Edelbrock high Rise Aluminum Intake Edelbrock Air Cleaner Corvette rally wheelsBrand NEW BF Goodrich tires Hypertech street/strip distributor Braided lines with AN fittings Big Block Hood Exterior: The exterior of the car has a show car feel, the paint is fresh and has minimal chips. It is finished in a Metallic Graphite Gray. There is a scratch to note on one of the T-Tops about the size of a paperclip from being removed. There is also a few areas which I photographed which appear to have a slightly different amount of metallic and can be seen as a haze in certain light. The chrome bumpers and trim pieces are in very good shape and appear to be original. The windshield wiper door opens as it should as do the headlights. The front emblem is like new. Again, this car has a very “fresh” feel, unlike many that need “freshening”. Finished with rally wheels and and top of the line brand new BF Goodrich tires. The odometer reads 78308 miles I would contend that they are original, as this car has been very well cared for over the years. Interior: This car has an exceptional interior. For some reason on these years of Corvettes they easily look aged. The black Vinyl seats look great, the center console looks good and doesn't even have any cracking where the Emergency brake sits. The dash doesn't have any cracks and looks great, also has a dash mat to keep it that way. All the glass is in great shape too with the drivers and passengers side glass still showing clearly the words “Astro Ventilation”. The door sill plates do have scratches from getting in and out and the door panels do show some cracks and wear. The rubber window felts are great too. The carpet looks like new. I would compare the pictures to other 1970 Corvettes for sale and would rival it to be amongst the top 10 in appearance and drivability. Electronics:The Fuel temp, clock, oil pressure, battery and speedometer gauges all work and light up correctly. Its Blaupunkt CD player works great too. As mentioned earlier the headlights and windshield wipers all work great. She doesn't drain her battery. The Tach doesn't work due to aftermarket distributor. Engine/Transmission:Still houses her matching number engine and manual transmission as decoded out above. Drives great, easy car to maintain and ready to cruise now. Her Becool radiator keep her cool even in the ultimate of temperatures. Runs and shifts great. If you are looking for a car that you can cruise around town in 100 degree heat, drive on the power tour and look good doing so, then you will appreciate this car. It is no nonsense and has been well cared for its whole life. History: Changes for the 1970 Corvette included more comfortable seats, a squared off clear turn signal indicator backed by an amber bulb (although many had an amber lens with a clear bulb) surrounded by an "ice cube tray" style grill and fender louvers. 1970 is famous for being the last year that high compression engines were available. Unleaded gasoline was in the future and high octane gasoline was becoming harder to find, causing GM to limit compression ratios after 1970.
