1967 Jaguar XKE original CA black plate car. Opalescent Gunmetal Gray engine out, glass out, doors off and reskinned, bonnet disassembled, high end paint job. You can read your wristwatch in the reflection of the paint. The only rust on this original CA car was on the bottom of the doors which as stated above were reskinned. All chrome has been redone. All suspension bushings as well as all rubber body seals have been replaced. Brand new Jaguar spoke rims with redwall radial tires with less than 500 miles on them. Engine is the original 4.2 liter 6 cylinder engine in the car and is low mileage and runs great. Push the choke up, turn the key, hit the starter button, and she fires right up. Oversized "Howe" aluminum radiator with updated 3300 cfm electric fan. New water pump, new exhaust manifolds and new exhaust to the rear of the car. New clutch with less than 500 miles on it. Interior is a BAS Jaguar interior light gray. This car is not a show car it is a show driver. I built this car to drive it not Garage/Trailer Queen it! If you like the Series 1 Jaguar XKE this is the car for you. Better engine, better drivability, syncro trans, all with the original covered headlight body style. This car in Series 1 form was voted the #1 most beautiful production car ever. There were only about 5800 of the 1967 Jaguars built. How many are truly left? I’ve experienced the “dream” of ownership and am now involved with another classic that needs my attention. It’s time for someone else to take over stewardship of this fine classic automobile.
