Vehicle Detail
this is a beautiful car that i just received on a trade from a judge who had this car restored... ive got a folder of info and reciepts and pics from the restoration (which was done right and took several months).. it was completed by a retired college professor who taught auto body, so i assure you no steps were skipped, paint looks GREAT and this car is all metal and the exterior looks like new....the convertible top is brand new as well as the pump, hoses and everything associated with the top (also cheap plastic rear window replaced with a nice glass window). underneath the car looks like new and has never been driven in the rain, and includes new suspension, brand new bumpers new tires, everything undercoated, original factory rims look great... no hidden rust, underneath , quarters and fenders look great no bubbles inside or out, inside the fender wells are great again no shortcuts here, and no risk of bubbles..frame is in great shape..the 350 rocket engine 4 barrel carb, has about 18k miles since the restoration, only 118k on the body, and starts runs and drives as reliably as any injected car... transmission is smooth as silk as any speed.... you are getting very close to a show car, but i would say its a very very very above average daily driver.. and a little tinkering and you can make this an award winner.. only real issue is the interior wasnt restored because its in really good shape for an original, however it is white and looks like it needs a good professional cleaning, the carpet is new and looks perfect.. an aftermarket cd player was installed below the dash with the original left alone.. the car is missing an ash tray, and a radio knob (readily available) but i havent bothered buying them because im not keeping the car and i thought the next owner might want to do something to the car on their own.when braked the car pulls a little to the left, (slight stick in the caliper, no big deal). this car leaks nothing, dosent smoke, and doesnt need any oil added between changes, this engine is great and needs nothing.. car sounds really good but its not too loud and obnoxious.. very classy sound and look..also classic car insurance and tags on this car save you a fortune.... im trying not to forget anything, and i think i have it mostly covered, but feel free to email questions to trizdon@yahoo.com im on vacation in florida this week and wont talk much on the phone, but ill try to answer emails pretty fast.... let me know if you have a really nice luxery car or convertible i may consider a partial trade..if not bid away, you will not be disappointed
