Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is an amazing 1955 ford customline four door. This car runs and drives. It is pretty complete. i have pretty much everything for the car such as trim and what not. There is trim and stuff removed for the ease of body work i didnt get to. youll notice in the pictures some is not on the car right now, i do have it though. It has newer tires on it(they look brand new to me). i have the oil bath too for the carberator. I just replaced the 6 volt battery and the water pump. It needs a new brake light switch. like two or three dollars from auto zone. There is some body damage on the passenger side shown in pictures, very light though. looks like someone scraped up against something lightly damaging the two doors and the front right fender. nothing too bad though, a shop would have an easy fix of it. Rust is minimal on this car from what i can tell: none in the trunk for the most part. none on the floor boards or anything like that. The rear and front quarters need replaced though definitely, the sooner the better. very cheap though to buy that sheet metal though. The lights and instuments work well on the inside except the speedometer. it just went out. The front drivers portion of the seat is pretty worn. the back seat is in really good condition. The choke operates great as well as the head lights. The car most often starts right up. sometimes i have to put some starter fluid in it though if i havnt been driving it though. Has never left me stranded :D and i drive it at least once a week here and there. It is the V8 engine that is in pretty good shape. doesnt really leak at all hardly. especially since i changed the water pump. The carburator might need rebuilt. It seem to have an air leak through the base of the carb where the gasket meets the manifold. those gaskets come in the rebuild kit i havnt installed yet. I have the original keys and a set of N.O.S blank set of keys. This car comes with: a triple plated crome bumper not installed on the car since purchased(expensive), still in shipping package. A N.O.S. trunk liner still in the box. Never installed brand new parking light cover as well as new parking light covers. A brand new carberator rebuilt kit still in packaging. A 19955 ford body, trim &sealant assembly manual FoMoCo officially licenced product stamp still in the plastic. A 1950-65 ford products interchange manual. A 1955 ford owners manual.1955 ford car shop manual on cd as well as a shop manual thats a replica paper version. An original(FoMoCo) door window ready to be installed on front drivers side. It looks to me that the car has the original unused spare in the trunk. It is flat though. I have a lot of heater componets that are out of the car and stored properly such as the fan, ducting, blower motor. This car seems to be original to the carson city nevada area, i live in reno. It has a couple oil change stickers in the inside of the drivers door from local shops here dating in the 50's and 60's. lots of extra's come with this classic car. a lot of fun to drive and would be an amazing canidate to restore especially how complete and original it is. Anybody is more than welcome and even suggested to verify anything stated in this ad. The vehicle is sold as is. Its the buyers responsibility to verify vehicle is to their liking. I did my best to be as clear as possible with description and photo's as possible. Any question please feel free to ask. good luck bidding.
