Vehicle Detail

I am selling a 1977 Volkeswagan Superbeetle Convertible that has been completely restored about a year and 1/2 ago, i didot realize how the value ofthe collectorcar has dropped over the past few years. My original reserve was $15,000 dollars, but I have dropped this considerably for this listing. I have at least $16,000 dollars in this car, but it has to go because of things changing in my life. I bought the car about 7 years ago from a older gentleman who drove it up from Florida in the late 1990's, and parked it around 2001 or 2002 in a garage until I found it. It was a light blue color with a white top that was falling apart. The previous owner said that the engine was put in about 5000 miles ago, and I have put on about 1500 miles on the car so I guess it has about 6500 miles on it. Initially, I had to do some front end work and replace valve cover gaskets to get the car so it was road worthy. Also, I was going to take the fuel injection off and put a carbuerator, but I found a mechanic that actually knows how to work on a volkswagan. He told me that it was in great shape and there was not any reason to remove it and put a carbuerator on it like I had planned. That was four years ago, and I have not had any problems with it since I purchased the car. I drove it like that for a few years until I started the restoration on this bug. The vehicle has been professionally painted, new bumpers, all new rubber all the way around, new top and interior (including seat cushions and trunk), disc brackes with all new components, new tires and rims, and the front end was lowered about an inch to make it better. The front end has no play in it, and was recently aligned with new shocks put on the front and back. I am sure there will be many questions, but this is a great car and I would drive it anywhere in the country.
