LasT Dance on eaby... three day auction. win or go home.. good-luck.. 1929 Ford Model A V8 It’s an era correct real deal, 1929 A V8, 5 WINDOW 40’s -50’s Orig Hot Rod, Barn Fresh, Covered N Sealed since 1980… Runs nicely. All Orig Henry Ford “All Steel” that it rolled out the factory with, No Plastic here. No Bondo, Kitty hair or RUST…….None...Tell me anywhere you want a picture to prove it. NOT chopped, Swapped, Dropped, Hacked, Ratted, T.J.-ed, boyd’ed, DUB’ed. Not Chevy powered, small blocked, import 4 banger, tokoyo’ed sandblasted. She runs an era hot rod correct ford Flathead V8 Motor w/ top loader 3 speed, Runs great 79,000 miles aprox (Not the orig Speedo) but working and correctly calibrated. 12 volt system. Dana 44 rear end, and it's has Split wishbones, Headers w/ nos Cherry bomb mufflers mounted (were still in trunk, new un-mounted in box) Steel floors, Dash full of orig Matching SW/custom gauges, a bitch’in Period correct tach (not working, but I let it in cause it looks tits) 14” bell green speckled steering, Lights all work, brake light when it feels like it, haven’t found a short or pinched wire. Juiced brakes (front left keeps locking , Not an expert on this style, they release after a bit of pump ‘in, but then they tighten up sometimes too), no leaks in the lines, all my mechanic friends are on the coast, since I moved to nor cal, I haven’t attended a lot of local shows to meet who’s who as yet. They all work, just pull to the front left a bit. Orig Model A springs and with added shocks all around. Orig 50-60’s done interior (Black Tuck & Roll) with 60’s headrest too. Including Matching door panels and headliner and parcel tray behind seat. All glass in excellent condition, Dot front windshield, and driver’s door glass (new) No door sag (look at the lines) and they closed perfect and tight. Front safari style orig pop out window works proper and stays open as it should for the bomby day runs and cruz’in. New era correct smoothy rims from my old buddy Jason @ Early Wheel company in Morro bay, Ca, 15 X 7’s on the rear, 15 X 4.5 on the front. Tires are new also, still nubby. Cooper P235-75-15’s in the rear and 165 R15 Metric Radials on the front, with New V8 caps and SS wheel rings. Jason is so good, Speedway motors now offers them. All Orig badges and trim pieces, no aftermarket stuff, Orig spring bumpers also even the running board and pads (still nice) and ford kick plates. The A saw repainted in the 60’s lacquer paint, down to the metal, door panels, jambs etc. We just sanded and re-primed some body parts the late owner decided to sand and prime (back in the late 70’s and waxed over) so we had to sand down a bit, to prime. Funny then is, for what reason? , no dents, rot or filler to cover? There was a gallon of orig matching paint also in the boot, ½ to ¾ harden, but we were able to salvage enough to thin out and spray over the new primer, My buddy‘s plan was to wet sand and age blend to the paint on the car, but he’ back over sea’s on another tour in the marines, so that didn’t get done, but water wet sanding would blend the patina of this sweet orig. (why prime a whole car, black, grey or.. how boring and common.) She starts right up with a flick of the elec fuel pimp toggle and turn of the orig key and runs very well, for really an un-restored car since the 60’s mid 70’s. We’ve taken her on her 5 miles, 50 mile runs, we’ve done a couple of 80 miles Round trips without any bother, and a sonic burger or two, cept for the bugger left front brake. Engine doesn’t over heat, dual temp gauge show 180-190, we put on a Southern Air Monster 18” elec fan (3200 cf) this thing sucks in a good way, we replace the lower hoses that have to have the “S” bends and just don’t look proper with some sweet aftermarket Cast “S” from Mr. Hotrod Flathead in nor cal. Along with upper hose replacement with their SS tubs and a nice aircleaner. We did this when we removed the engine driven fan (hand and meat cutter) and mounted a 12 volt alternator and sling shot center mount. This is not a project, It’s a driver, if you know more about the brakes then I do, it’s a drive anywhere driver. Orig Carb coughs from time to time, but might be in need of a rebuild, my plan was to add a Navarro two carb system so it doesn’t bother me, when it did. Newer (70’s) flat fuel cell nicely mounted in trunk with and outside flip fill door added (bet the reason we think for the odd areas in which the body had primer, thinking it was being prepped here and there for a repaint. Also new 12 volt battery mounted and secured in the trunk, no rust there either in the bottom or insides of the body. Bought car from the son at an estate sale, car had been on rollers in the back of a 4 car garage since his dad started tinkering with it back in the late 70’s then past in the late 80’s, car had been parked and cover since then (last registered in 1984) Kid was about 40 years old, and he likes to fish, not into cars and didn’t know much, he was just there to settle his parents estate. Did say, his dad got from a guy who owned since the 50’s, it had spent time at car shows and a single dash plack from the "1975 The Pleasanton 5th annual hot rod show" was still on the dash I’ve since moved to the top front headliner over the windshield and he would drive it to half moon bay and make some runs. Beside that info, He said the guy also mentioned it was used in the film “Peggy sue got married” The movie's picture car captain Mr. R White is an old car guy and friend of mine. He best remembers they had a cattle call for 200 cars for the film, Most we’re 40’s cars, but there was a couple of Model A hotrods, he just doesn’t remember, he Can’t be sure, but can’t deny either, said could had been, and it was in the right place at the right time (garaged 50 miles north of Petaluma, Ca) Ok, so there ya go, you want fancy, shiny, pretty trailer queen big buck built, Plastic body, or pieced together OR do you want orig un-thrashed un-trashed un blinged..Orig Hotrod from the past, they are only orig once. Tweak it a bit more and enjoy and save it so the future rodders can see something that wasn’t bought that way. 1929 Ca Plates (yom) will stay with the ford, if it stays in california, also, My HAMB and free Mason Topper and badges do not roll with the car. Ok, The legal stuff. Don’t bid if you have no funds to pay, or haven’t asked your wife at least a half doz times if she is sure its ok 5 out of 6, and her mother too (sorry, been there done that, just saving you a ass chewing mate) Neg feedback sorry.
