Vehicle Detail

Hello and thanks for looking at my auction. Up for sale to the highest bidder is my 1994 F 350 4x4 crew cab turbo diesel. I bought this truck about 4 months ago from South Texas. I drove my little honda civic down there, rented a uhaul tow dolly and towed my honda home. Ran no problem. I was a little concerned to be honest because the seller COMPLETELY misinformed me of the condition of the truck. I shall attempt to NOT do the same to you. I do anesthesia for a living and fixing this truck is beyond my capabilities. The owner told me the truck needed a new "transmission harness, wiring" but drove fine. Yes, it does but it sometimes wants to go in and out of the overdrive. What the owner neglected to tell me is that these harnesses are NO LONGER BEING MADE. So, go figure. I bought a "harness repair" kit which will work but that means you gotta cut wires, solder or just twist caps or something. Not for me. I bought the repair harness and it's basically the connector end that goes on the tranny and new wires. you splice it together. I pulled the wiring harness off, that's as far as I got and i just don't have time to mess with it. When I arrived to get the truck, the guy said you gotta hold a "wet diesel soaked cloth" in front of the air intake and she starts right up. That's true, but very difficult (sarcasm, impossible) alone. So I never shut the truck off on my 6 hour drive home to Austin. The truck is pretty, looks good from 20 ft. Not bad up close. No dents, rust or holes or anything like that, just....old. The interior is intact and decent but shows wear and tear. Nothing horrible, nothing hanging or torn up. No, I don't have photos. I honestly don't care what I sell this for. It is no reserve and it will go to the highest bidder. Another lesson learned. I will say I paid $5,000 cash for the truck. If you look past the wiring harness and the "diesel soaked cloth" to start it, not a bad truck at all. Ran strong, towed my honda at 75 mph like it wasn't even back there. Has really cool HEAVY DUTY bumpers front and back. I'm told the bumpers are $1600 for the pair. Whatever. They're cool. You can stand on the front one and work on the truck it's so stout. Power windows work, all glass is good, chrome is decent. Cosmetically is the strongest attributes of the truck. One of the "injectors leaked" so I bought a new injector o-ring kit, about $100 bucks or so. it goes with the truck. I bought a few other things I can't remember off hand but they're little things... I throw them in too. Has big tires and the rims are really cool but the driver rear tire is a total POS and it leaks out in a day or two and goes completely flat. Have an aircompressor or tank available when you get home. I have a compressor and hose built into my garage to air it up when the party comes to get it. No problem. I have the title, I started to print my wifes name on it, not sure if that's gonna be an issue. I'll have to ask DMV or maybe someone knows about these things. Perhaps my wife can sign it and then sign it over again? I don't know. If must be, I can non op register it and get a new title in my wifes name. So, there it is. I'm trying to be truthful as possible. I bought a new 08 Turbo Diesel dually 4x4 Dodge cummins, no work necessary on it. This one has to go. I wanted to keep it but my wife says no, and my neighbors not so happy when tire goes flat. lol Good luck and the high bidder wins. I will NOT end this auction, it will go full course. Please email me for any questions, I'll answer best I can. I have over $6K in this truck now, someone gonna get a deal. MarkOn May-13-11 at 13:17:40 PDT, seller added the following information: Ok, my wife came through and took some pretty good pics. Thanks baby. I added 20 more photos to the auction. I forgot to put that this truck DOES have a hideaway gooseneck hitch. Pretty valuable. I just added one to my 08 Dodge dually and it was $600 installed. This ford has one. i did not get a pic of the rear bumper. Sorry. It's as heavy duty as the front and has a receiver built into it also. It's straight, not jacked up and is black like the front. Hope you enjoy the photos and hope they show that i was honest about the interior. It's dated but it's intact and clean. The headliner pics are there too. Tried to get a shot of the engine but I have the Air Box out of it, I'll put it back in before new party takes possession. I was changing air cleaners and was trying to get to a fuel injector so I took it out. That's as far as I got on that too. the wire harness I bought was about 40 bucks, the o ring kit was about 100 or 110. Can't remember. there is a brake controller in the truck also and a after market stereo deck. Nothing major but works. Cruise control does work on this truck too. Forgot to add that.On May-14-11 at 15:56:09 PDT, seller added the following information: Okay, Just answered the questions that I had and it got me to thinking. I NEVER SAID THIS WAS A POWERSTROKE. So, for the people who felt the need to inform me that this is NOT a powerstroke, I never said it was. i don't even know what a powerstroke is and after rereading my ad....the word POWERSTROKE was never used until you felt the need to inform me that it is indeed NOT a powerstroke. So, thanks for that tidbit of information and the auction shall continue. I was actually thinking of stopping the auction if I had misled anyone stating that this was a powerstroke. So, please be aware that THIS IS NOT A POWERSTROKE according to the ford enthusiasts familiar with this type of vehicle. I do not want anyone to feel as though I have been dishonest in any way about this truck. I have stated from the beginning that it needed work, it's old and quite frankly I think it is ugly. But, that is me. i just want people making informed purchases with facts and not myths. Thanks. MarkOn May-14-11 at 16:02:17 PDT, seller added the following information: One more thing, yes...there is a tool box in the back. The headache rack (think that's what a bidder called it) does have a tool box also that goes across the front of the bed. I was told by the original owner that the accessories alone were $3K. Bumpers, racks, tool box, etc... All will stay with the truck. It is black like the bumpers and rack thing. I would sand blast them and repaint though, they're not so attractive. Mark
