Drives well, very reliable, starts right up and is a fantastic gas saver - 45 mpg! Think of all the money you'll save! Here's the good news: - The car got a new clutch assembly and a new rebuilt transmission on 1/11/11. I have the receipts. The transmission is under 6-month warranty (through July 11, 2011.) - The car is currently registered in CA (through Dec 2011), so it comes with plates and registration for a CA buyer. - It passed CA smog inspection in Jan 2011 - so you know it's got to be in good shape! - New transmission and clutch assembly , as of Jan 2011! Have receipts and warranty. - Good strong engine. ,xxx original miles. - New brake pads. - Decent tires. - Interior fairly clean, though not perfect. No rips in seats, no cracks in dash.- Pioneer CD player. - Has air conditioning – very hard to find in a Geo Metro, esp. one with a manual transmission! - Windows work fine - a weak spot for Metros.- Doors work too, though the passenger door lock and hatch lock are messed up due to attempted theft; however, both can be opened and locked. - Clean title. Here are the car's flaws: - Driver's side seat foam has sunken in. I have a cushion on it, and it's fine. Passenger door is a little dented - see pic. Not too bad though. - The car is missing its fabric headliner. However, a layer of foam still remains to insulate the roof. It's purely cosmetic, but local auto upholsterers will put in a new headliner for $150 if you want one. - The A/C is missing a belt and may need some other repairs. It's not currently blowing cold. This is a great little car and has been my daily driver for a few months; however, I need something a little bigger. If this size can work for you, you can't go wrong! Many Metros have transmission problems between 100K and 150K miles; on this one, that's been taken care of already. Local pickup only!
