Vehicle Detail
1965 VOLKSWAGEN BEETLE "BUG". 95% RESTORED! Only the 3rd owner in 46 YEARS!! Bug has been restored from floor pan up. Including all new body rubber. As you can see, all new interior with original factory colors. Everything but the head liner, still good and really didn't need to change. Does not have a radio. As you can see, rear side windows are pop-out. I have been told these are rare, but honestly dont know. Original 1200cc motor. Motor has not been rebuilt or torn down but does have many new parts. Crank is tight with no play. No need to rebuild when running fine. To me one of best things done was the 6 volt system has been converted to a 12 VOLT SYSTEM and completely rewired to 12 volt. Alot more convenient when replacing the battery or light bulbs. Also upgraded brake system from a single reservoir to a dual resevoir. Has all new brakes, clutch assembly and all NEW TIRES. Even has the ORIGINAL SPARE TIRE, and yes its aired up, in good shape and ready for the road. Fresh paint of the original color with PPG enamel. The two things it needs are new exhaust tips and new or re-chromed back bumber. As you can see, some rust on them but still in good shape. Original hub caps in good to fair condition. This is a good driving car. Motor uses NO oil and of course good gas mileage, which lately is always good. Plus just slap a number 53 on it and you have your own "LOVE BUG". (sorry, couldn't help myself). :) One other thing car needs is a new owner. Have $9,000.00 invested so my loss is your gain. Thanks for looking and GOOD LUCK BIDDING !!!!!!!!!!On May-09-11 at 17:12:41 PDT, seller added the following information: Little Update: Should have noted that after floor pans were completely replaced the ENTIRE UNDERCARRIAGE WAS SEALED.
