Vehicle Detail
A Future GTAm Replica? According to our documentation files, the chassis number AR 252193 originally corresponds to an Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GT Veloce (105.36), manufactured on the 22nd September 1967 and sold on the 10th October 1967 to Alfa Romeo Frankfurt, Germany. The body colour is Alfa red, with black interiors. My friend Gregg and I are advertising this almost complete 1967 euro version Giulia Sprint GT Veloce for your consideration. We purchased this GT together for restoration, but now realize perhaps it’s a little more than us ‘novices’ want to tackle at this point. While needing significant lower metal work, it's still a great candidate for restoration or for a vintage race car. This car has all interior, gauges, switches and trim pieces (less the c-pillar side emblems). The body does have significant rust issues and several dents (the largest in the passenger side door). Gregg is currently restoring a 69 GTV that was in similar but better condition. As such he has found most all body parts are still available for this car. The original engine was replaced in the early 1970s with a 1750 spica fuel injected engine. This car was last licensed in 1974 and has been in storage for many years. We are not sure if the mileage is original. While the engine is turning, we have not attempted to start the car. The brakes are there but not working after sitting so long. She even has a vintage blaupunkt radio. This is a great project step nose that is too good to be a parts car. The restorer can expect to replace the rockers (some middle work too), splash panels behind all wheels, front floors, and rear wheel arches. The rest of the car is fairly solid. These cars are going up in value and the step nose GTV is clearly the most desirable body style, and should justify bringing her back. Please be sure to look at the photos at http://s613.photobucket.com/albums/tt218/Gibsonplayer92/67%20Alfa%20Romeo/ and if you need further photos, don’t hesitate to ask. At delivery, she’ll ride on four GT style steel wheels, despite the picture on photobucket of a turbina on the front right corner. A low cost to purchase now, a later trip to Vintage Customs (http://vintagecustoms.net/) for aluminum skin and metal work, and then you’ll be on the way to a GTAm replica! And you’ll be expected to send us the pictures of the completed restoration! Your bid and purchase does represent a binding agreement. So please do your due diligence prior to bidding. This car will be sold with a bill of sale. A non-refundable $500 deposit is to be made by the buyer within 24 hours of purchase with the balance due on pickup. The Buyer is responsible for all shipping fees and arrangements. We’ll assist with shipping arrangements as possible. European buyers welcome. Payment accepted by Paypal, or certified bank cashier’s check (note: payments must clear prior to delivery).
