uncle427 Store 1969 Corvette Convertible 350 hp 4-sp Beautiful !! LOOK 1969 Corvette Convertible. 350-350 hp, 4-speed, Original Lemans Blue car with bright blue vinyl interior. Power steering, Power brakes, Tilt Telescoping steering column, Heavy duty radiator cooling system. This is a very exciting offering of an excellent example of this model, highly desireable 350 hp convertible in excellent colors with all the options people want and really make this car enjoyable to drive and have the fantastic performance offered by this engine and chassis combination. And still have the dependability to use anytime! Runs on 93 octane pump gas. Please read along as I try to describe it entirely and honestly............................................ The paint is not show quality, but better than driver, with a few character flaws I try to show in pics, it has the typical front nose "blemishes" from the original rivets showing, some light small bubbles on the rh top fender, some chips here and there, etc. Witness line on deck lid from the top. The paint is nice and shiney and looks just as good in person as it does in pics. It looks as if the door jams were never repainted and if you look close with door open, you can tell. This car was enjoyed! And really taken care of. Trim tag paint code 976 = Lemans Blue, Interior code 411 = Bright Blue vinyl The factory 8"AZ rally rims were blasted and correctly repainted correct color outside and black inside with silver overspray and have brand new BF Goodrich T/A radials installed, size on all fronts is P245-60-15 and the rears are 255-60-15, all were computer balanced. They look great as you can see and ride and handle fantastic !! They cannot have 500 miles on them. The wheel trim rings and center caps appear as new. The body panel gaps and fits are very good, all the door hinges and springs are good and tight, doors close and fit as they should. The locks work fine and match the ignition, glove box key works and is correct. All the chrome is very, very nice, replated, nice and straight, emblems nice, optional vent louver trim is excellent, the trim around grills appears either replated or new. New license bezel. Taillamp lenses nice and shiney and bright. Front grills and spoiler are fine. Windshield is new and the SS trim has been show polished, the door glass on both sides is original and dated NV on both, both are in good shape. The windshield frame is excellent and shows no evidence of rust or repairs. All original factory installed fiberglass, only repairs found or to the rear taillight panel area, there is some small blistering of paint on top rear deck tipping it off. I see evidence in the wire harness of a trailer hitch being used on the car at one point, the rear harness has the extra "pigtails" added where a small harness would have been installed. Actually appears as whatever was being towed may have done the damage. But I am guessing, we will never know. But I want to disclose it. It appears when the work was done, or at least when it was last repainted, most of the rear exhaust valance panel to body seam was filled in also, just filler, it is not "glassed in" New exhaust tips and bezels, the rear deck lid vent grills have been replaced with chrome plated units, the chrome is excellent and actually adds some sparkle, but this is not original, they should be body color. The original pair of blue painted ones are included with the car. The antenna appears as new. The spare tire tub has been refinished and painted. Appears as a recent frame on restored car, Excellent frame, no rust or repairs ever, most of it repainted, body never off. Front suspension all bushings and joints done, rear suspension also has new spring, new SS ebrake system. SS brake calipers E brake works good Has original WR M-20 Muncie trans with all correct assy and serial #'s, shifter nice and tight. Rear axle ratio is 3:36 This trans and rear package combo is excellent for performance and cruises at lower RPM on highway for a real nice ride! But then when perforance is wanted, wow, going thru the gears its a blast, seems to never stop pulling, and hard! Trans apears has been rebuilt at some point, not known when but assuming same time engine was done. It operates smoothly and quietly. Clutch operates smoothly without any chatter or excessive effort. Feels like it should. Correct bell housing and covers. 350 horsepower 350 motor, obviously rebuilt, painted and detailed and has a nice healthy cam, sounds and runs like it should! Has correct part # heads, all #'s matching, including stamp pad. Shows an assembly date of VO203HW Has correct restored/rebuilt/re-colored Quadrajet #70292702 carburetor. Excellent original valve covers, original distributor with correct original tag has been rebuilt using correct shaft and vacuum advance unit. All shielding is in place and looks as new. New delco plug wires and AC rapidfire plugs, all new hoses, the radiator hoses being correct repro, the belts are NOS GM!. New radiator cap, restored steering box and coupling, the tilt telescoping column appers as new, was restored and painted, looks and works flawlessly. New accelerator cable with original mounting bracket restored, shows the GM # Correct exhaust manifolds are in place with correct #s and finish, new aluminized exhaust with magnaflow mufflers. The entire system fits well. The power steering system was just completely restored and rebuilt, including the pump. The Master cylinder appears as new, PG coded, the booster was obviously rebuilt and appears as new Both systems operate flawlessly. This car has the very desireable HD heavy duty cooling system option only available with the 350 hp engine. It does not use the small aluminum radiator and an expansion tank with a metal fan shroud but rather the larger copper radiator used on a/c cars with the larger plastic molded fan shroud, no auto trans lines in tank. Never an expansion tank mounted on inner skirt. This car runs nice and cool in ANY weather! Original radiator support and all lower bracing original and in excellent condition, no damage or rust ever. Original radiator recored , nice original undamaged or modified shroud, new fan clutch, original fan, engine and engine compartment detailed, all new vacuum hoses thru out car for all controls, new wiper door actuator and valve and wiper arm at rest valve under wiper door. The wiper door system works flawlessly. Still has its original wiper motor and windshield and headlamp washer pumps. Appears as original headlamp actuators but with chrome covers installed. The headlights pop up and down fine. Appears the horns were restored, they work great. The white soft top frame is excellent, nice and tight, operates smoothly, no rust ever, the latches work fine, it fits the car very well. All the weatherstripping is excellent, the top, being white is a bit dirty, not "snow" white as new, but as shown in pics, is still nice, the rear glass is shiney and water clear with no scratching at all. I think with a little cleaning, the top could be pure white again. There are no rips or tears in it, actually no flaws at all, and again, it latches and fits the car windshield and deck lid very well! There is new weatherstripping on the verticl side windshield posts. The interior............. Carpets have been replaced, seats have been redone with new foam and covers, original headrests, original backs. Console and park brake console replaced, new console plate, shifter boots inner and outer, shifter handle good, rebuilt/restored heater control head and as mentioned earlier, all new vacuum lines. All the fits of all the interior panels including console fit very well. Door panels are replaced and appear as new and fit well. Windows operate smoothly up and down. Gauges appear original, clock not working, gauge center housing is either new or refinished, looks great It fits well. Appears the rh and lh dash pads, the vertical and horizontal windshield pads are new, they look and fit great, map pocket good, not flopping open, visors good, speedo and tach look good. The odometer shows 83,208 miles but has stopped working. All the gauges appear nice and bright. The radio has been replaced with a Kenwood 4 speaker AM-FM cassette unit which also has the ability to control a CD player, there are nice high end speakers installed in the factory location behind the kick panels and two in the rear in two nicely done enclosures, it really sounds great! And nothing is permanent so can be removed if desired. The factory installed radio is not included. The top dash pad was not replaced but was resprayed, it has a small split in it roughly over the tachometer on top of pad about 3 " long, it is just a split and the pad is not mishapen so it does not jump out at you and probably can be repaired by a good vinyl repair man. The steering column appears as newly restored and repainted, even the horn button! Works nicely, the steering wheel was purchased last year at great expense and was an NOS wheel that came in an old GM box. Its NOT a repo and it is easily the nicest wheel I have ever seen! Has a new battery, has its original dated jack, all the glove box and battery boxes are fine and originals, the frames have a few small cracks, nothing that requires any attention. The original factory installed rear quarter trim panels are there and excellent! The heater/defroster works well as does all its controls. The kick panel vents operate properly and close and seal tightly. The lower two manual vacuum controls for the headlamps and wiper door are new and work fine, the center wiper interupt switch and knob are new and operate fine. All the monitoring lamp systems and flasher indicators, dash lamps ,emergency flashers, etc work as they should. All the inner and outer lighting systems work fine. The seats and the tracks operate correctly and are all tight. Correct color reproduction seat belts are installed. Nice "corvette" emblemed floor mats color matched to carpet. This car looks, runs, rides excellent. Everything works as it should. Its really exciting to drive and is turn key, very dependable. Do not snooze and lose on this one, hard to find like this ! I invite you to ask all the questions you like, I will answer as promptly and accuratley as possible, I do have many more pics and will gladly take picks of anything in particular you like. Just be specific and do not just ask me to send all I have, that takes time and there are far to many "just want free" photo collectors out there. There is a $1000.00 deposit required with your winning bid within 48 hrs via paypal, wire transfer or money order only. If not recieved I reserve the right to cancel the deal with you, and potentially move on to the next bidder. Final payment due in full within 5 days via cash if in person or wire transfer. If you plan on paying with ANY type of check or money order be prepared to wait a few weeks before car is released. Wire transfer is preferred, and its instant and safe. I can store the car for a reasonable amount of time agreed upon before its picked up and my schedule is very flexible and I will gladly assist in loading it or can recommend a good carrier. I have sold cars overseas also and am familiar with the procedure so can help there also. The car can also be driven anywhere of course if desired. Wow, what a summer cross country trip that would make!
