Vehicle Detail

This auction is for a 1970 Dodge Charger project car. It is pretty much complete, and unmolested. That being said, it needs restoration. It has been parked in a field in Arkansas since around 1990. It still wears original paint, and has the original 318 in it, original hubcaps, etc. The outer body of this car is way better than most, with only minor rust in the quarters. THe rear window area that is normally bad on these cars looks surprisingly good, especially considering it was a vinyl top car. There is a touch of rust where the factory roof/quarter seam is on one side. The rear valance and tail panel are in good shape, the only flaw there being the driver's side lower valance got pulled on something and bent it. The front cap on this car is very good. The grill has one chip in the gray surround you can see in pics. rest looks good. Hood looks good, driver fender looks good, passenger fender has dents. doors are very useable. The car will need all floor pans and a center trunk pan, because the windows were left down outside for a few years unfortunately. The frame rails are super nice front to back, no rust. some easy floor pan work and this car will be excellent. The interior is all there but needs completely redone headliner to carpet. the engine bay looks all original, i don't know if the motor turns over, is frozen, or would run with minimal work. You can have fun with that, i don't have the time to mess with it. It shows 71000 miles on the odometer, and i was told that was most likely original, as it has not touched the road in 20 years and was not driven much in the few years before that. Hard to find a good 68-70 project car that doesn't need frame rails and looks like it sat in salt for 30 years. this one is a southern car, so it is a much more solid foundation for a restoration than a rust belt body. Also it is complete, no nickel and diming to death just trying to find miscellaneous expensive trim and glass etc. It's all here. car rolls and steers freely. You will not find a better project for the money, don't miss out.. Thanks for looking and good luck. Please ask with any questions. i reserve the right to end this auction early at any time for any reason as i have the car listed locally as well. NO RESERVE so bid to win!
