This VW Jetta was purchased new, driven for a number of years only back and forth to work, then transferred to a relative. This car is a second vehicle, and currently resides at a vacation home where we have used it for 2 seasons in July and August. Since the kids are getting older and have their own vehicles now, we no longer need the extra car. Given that it sits for 10 months out of the year, things are a bit tight on the car. Right now I think one of the front calipers is sticking and there is a noise coming from one side - definitely brake related but the brake pads and rotors are new. A new power steering pump was installed in 2010, and it has 4 snow tires with 5000 miles on them. The sunroof started leaking - stopped the leak by putting a bead of silicon around the outer edge and not using the sunroof. Mileage is not quite 80,000. Car is sitting at our summer home which is a couple hours away - so I listed high. Mileage is between 75k and 78k. Will document actual mileage on title. A little TLC brings this car back to life and is a great winter drive or commuter.
