1973 Mercury Cougar XR7 Convertible.... Priced to sell! Only 3,165 Convertible XR7's were produced in 1973, under 1000 on the road today. This one is original and in good condition. Runs great and would be a great car for a daily driver or a great car for a restoration. The engine runs strong, the transmission shifts smoothly. The instruments work, including the door open buzzer (Clock and fuel gauge work at times, not sure what is wrong). The power top folds up and down with ease. The car has recently been serviced; oil, plugs and filters. The white (and original) convertible top does have a small (1/2 in) tear on the passenger back side. The glass is all good. The interior is in good shape as well as the carpet. The dash does have two cracks. The body is very straight, but does have some scratches. Paint is original and needs polished. Tire tread is about 65%. I am not the original owner of this car so I don't have the maintenance records. For a car of this age, you will have to look hard to find one as nice as this. Check NADA for values, LOW RETAIL $11,500. This is priced way below!
