1997 5-speed Mazda Miata. New cloth top with glass back window installed in Spring 08. New clutch put in winter 09. A/C generator replaced last August. AM-FM CD-player with removable faceplate. A Waynesboro city traffic truck made an illegal left turn last Saturday the 16th & the pictures show what happened when I slid into the rear of the truck. Made me very sad, I love driving this car. The airbags did not deploy. The other headlight still works. The check engine light periodically comes on & stays on til it get cold outside. It comes on due to egr valve needing a cleaning. If I lived in the DC area I would have to get that done but not necessary here in the Shenandoah Valley & doesn't effect the car. There is some furring in the driver's seat as picture shows. The car appears to have had a hard top at one time as there are two exposed cutouts on each side where the hardware was to latch the side of the hardtop. Appears that installation was not professionally done. There is a small ding in the windshield from a pebble. Not very noticable & easy to fix with an autoglass fix outfit. Was heading to get an oil change which it still needs. The throttle body also needs to be cleaned. The car is still drivable but not legal with the headlight gone. Drove the car 62 miles roundtrip to Charlottesville to get the estimate & found out it was totaled. Can't afford to fix it. I have the adjusters report with details on things to be fixed. I am the 2nd owner. Bought it used in Christiansburg VA & believe the car was originally owned in Florida. Buyer responsible for transporting the car. The driver side window is slow going down & up compared to the passenger side. If you put both windows down or up at the same time, a fuse will blow & have to be changed.
