Vehicle Detail
NO RESERVE AUCTION Car is currently not running. You will need to tow it away. Exterior in great shape. one tail light cracked. one dent in body kit on lower side of door. Interior not so much. Seams are split on front seats. Dash has cracks. A friend gave me this car because I moved farther away from school and my MKI GTI isn't that comfy on the freeway. I had to put a hydraulic pump in it for the suspension leveling system which cost me about $700. Other then that it was running fine. But it developed a knock in the bottom end and major power loss. Maybe connector rod? Don't know, don't care. I have two other Rabbits and a Ducati. Not enough room for another project so this has to go. Engine was bored over to 2.5 by performance shop in AZ. I have all the paperwork and maintenance history. Title transfer was not completed because it stopped running before I could get it done. Was very busy finishing up college at Art Center College of Design. But title is in hand. If you know about these cars they are very collectable and rare. Less than two thousand 16V imported to the states. Car was very fun to drive and did really well on gas too. I love this body style and would love to keep it really but not enough room in the garage. If no one buys the car it will go to crusher which will be a shame. I just really need it out of my garage so I can park off the street again. Sorry no detail pics but it is in my garage and I live on a hill so can't roll it out into the sun. Come by and take a look. Happy to make sure it gets on your shippers truck but you need to make the arrangements. All funds must clear before it leaves my garage. Took another look at it tonight. There are a couple chips here and there in the paint smaller than a pencil eraser. Wheels are AMG painted to match body but lips have some curb rash. Also just noticed it has a flat tire. Only have one key for it but keys (no computer chip) are super cheap from MB. Registration was paid up to 4/20/11 but never completed like I said earlier. Rear window deck has been cut with 6x9 speakers in it. And headliner on one of the c-pillars is coming down. Sun roof is a bit lazy needs to be lubricated. Sorry for spotty description but this thing has just been sitting in the garage for almost a year now and I park on the street so kinda out of sight out of mind. Like I said I want to park my minty MKI GTI off the street again. Getting tired of bird sh*t. Peace and good luck. Car is for sale locally so reserve the right to end auction early. On Apr-24-11 at 17:03:19 PDT, seller added the following information: Pushed it back ten feet into the garage opening and got some not so good pics. Car had a lot of dust on it from sitting. Tried to get a shot of the dent in the body kit on the passenger side but just too dark. http://photobucket.com/190Ex2point5x16V Also realized speakers in back window are two 6" round and a sub. There is also an amp (dont know watt) and MB 6 disc changer in the trunk. Trunk is full of some small boxes and misc stuff had in there using it as storage so no pic. But trunk interior is good.
