Vehicle Detail
I am listing this for my elderly Aunt and Uncle. It has just 99K miles and is in good shape. It last was driven in 2007 and that was a trip from Billings Montana to Scobey Montana, about 370 miles. It got new tires in Billings so they have about 370 miles on them. For the past at least 10 years this car has pretty much just sat parked. It always starts right up and runs smooth and quiet. It has the 400 engine and of course the automatic. The car runs, rides and drives smooth and quiet. The interior could use a vacuum but that's about all. The seats etc are like new. No wear or tear. The steering wheel needs to be redone though. The plastic has cracked and fallen off like they do. There is a steering wheel in the back seat that looks good but it's brown. The one on the car is blue. The dash pad is good. The power convertible top doesn't work so it gets put up and donw manually. They don't know why the power doesn't work. There is a new top in the trunk still in the box. Brakes work as they should. The power windows go up and down but slowly and could use some help on the way up. They have just been sitting and I will silicone the channels. I think they are just getting sticky from not being used. The body is great. It has always been an eastern Montana car and not used in the winter. It could use a paint job but if it was my car I would give it a buff job, put the top down and drive it. The chrome is good, the front bumer is good but the rear bumper has a ding in it. Nothing I would fix though. I am sure there are odds and ends as the car is original. On Apr-22-11 at 05:46:58 PDT, seller added the following information: This car has always been garaged, as it is right now. It has never been driven in the snow my uncle said. It is been a summertime car its entire life. This is an unrestored original. My uncle doesn't recall it ever having any body work but I try to keep in mind that he is in his late 80's and doesn't remember everything that has happened in the past 30 years. When I looked the car over I didn't see any obvious body work having been done. When it got the new tires in Billings the tires that were removed were bias ply tires and they were actually in decent shape. He said when he bought those tires that was the end of the bia plys at that gas station. Back then you would buy your tires at the local gas station. Back then the car got its oil changed everything 1200 miles and a tune up everything 12,000 miles. Oh for the good old days. I asked him about fluid consumption and he doesn't remember if it uses oil or if he had to add trans fluids or not. Right now everything looks ok. On Apr-23-11 at 10:44:10 PDT, seller added the following information: Hi again everyone! To answer the questions about pics for this and that, it isn't possible to get anymore pics. It is locked in the garage where it sits almost all of the time and the lady with the key is out of town until Wednesday. Most questions have been about rust in the trunk, engine compartment and rockers. I saw no rust anywhere. The car hasn't been in a situation to get rusty. Other than the 370 or so miles from Billings it has been sitting in the garage for at least 15 years or since you could go to a gas station and buy a set of bias ply tires. During the summer months the car was garaged when it wasn't being used. I would be very surprised if anyone found rust on this car.
