Relisted as a NO RESERVE auction....truck will be sold to highest bidder! I have a 1938 Chevrolet truck that would make a great project for someone. It could go two ways, rat rod or restoration. The cab has had all the patch work done and is ready for paint. The cab is one of the nicest 38 cabs I've seen with latching doors as well. I just have too many other projects going on. I was told the truck had been used on a farm for hauling hay in Texas and is still in running condition just needs plumbed up. From the looks of it things are fresh and in working order. Here is all you will get: complete drivetrain including original 216 6-cyl with manual trans complete all the way to the rear end. the cab is great with latching doors, door glass hardware, very solid ready for paint ALL ORIGINAL STEEL! I have some front fenders that could be used with little repair needed complete hood with some minor repair needed grille shroud with original radiator wooden flatbed with rails a complete set of wheels and tires (as pictured) with 100% tread on all a set of running boards that seem to have been slightly modified two thirds of a grille that is in pretty good shape (as pictured) original gas tank (needs a few small spots patched) all steering components are there including steering box, drop I-beam axle, leaf spring suspension, etc etc etc etc.............................. I would be willing to negotiate on the price if someone would not want/need the cab. It is in such great shape I wouldn't mind hanging on to it myself. This truck is a great base for your pending project or could have endless possibilities. Either way this is a great start and has a ton of original 1938 parts on it. If you know as well as I do...these parts are all close to impossible to find. Just type in 1938 Chevrolet truck and browse the completed listings for proof. So by grouping the all together will save a lot of time and money.
