Vehicle Detail
This is a very clean and well kept 1993 Silverado 4x4. It is one family owned since new and originally came from dry eastern Washington State. It spent most of it's life there until it was sold to the original owner's son who brought it to Oklahoma and then it was sold back to the dad in Phoenix, Arizona. In Arizona it was used as his golfing truck on the weekends. It has absolutely NO RUST anywhere and is in great shape. It has had the bedliner and Leer topper on it since it was new so the bed is in great shape underneath the bedliner. It runs and drives great and does not use or leak any oil or other fluids. The truck is still titled in Oklahoma. I will break the truck down in more detail below: INTERIOR: The interior looks nearly new. There are no rips, tears or stains anywhere. You can just tell it was meticulously kept. Everything works from the horn to the cruise control. It is all original except for the aftermarket CD player that was put where the factory equalizer went. It is a very clean installation and the original radio is in place and does work if you wanted to put it back to original. It sounds very nice as it is. All windows and power doorlocks work. Heater blows hot and AC is COLD. The truck was never smoked in so there are no funny smells and it is very comfortable. EXTERIOR: The truck is VERY straight and rust-free. The original paint still shines well, but there are a few clear coat issues on the front fenders and tailgate (see pics). The grill has a few spots where the plastic chrome has pealed away but they are small areas. The original moldings also have places where the plastic chrome has discolored and/or pealed away. You can replace these but, in my opinion, they really are not that bad for the age of the truck. There are a few very small door dings and paint chips that you would expect to find in a truck of this age, but overall it looks very nice and I get compliments on it all the time. It's not a show truck but it is a very clean driver. The wheels are from a newer model Avalanche and I liked the look. I do have the original wheels with decent tires that I can include in the sale if you so desire. The tires on the truck have decent tread on two of them, one is brand new and the other has about 20% treadlife left. They are Goodyear Wranglers and I would recommend buying one new one to match the other new one and then you would be set for quite some time. MECHANICAL: The truck has 156k original miles. The original 350 engine was replaced under warranty from the dealer at 50k miles according to the original owner. The bad news is he has no documentation to support it. I'm not sure if there is a way that you could have a dealer search the VIN and see if they have a record of it. He says the truck was about 4 years old when they replaced it, so it would have been around 1996. In any case, the engine runs very strong with no hesitation and will jerk your neck back when accelerating. Shifts on time and smooth. It does have the overdrive transmission so you save gas on the top end. No mechanical issues other that it will need new brakes in the front very soon. It does pull a little to the left when stopping and I checked the pads and they are getting close to the end. 4x4 works as it should with no issues. All the original jack and tools are behind the seat in perfect condition. Excellent full size spare tire is in place. All lights, turn signals etc. work as they should. You can fly in and drive this home anywhere. SUMMARY: This is a very nice daily driver that would also make a great hunting rig. It is reliable and a very good looking truck that is destined to be a classic in the next few years. The short bed fleetside is the most popular truck among collectors and being the Silverado package and 4WD, this truck is sure to go up in value. The truck is for sale locally for $4000 obo so I do reserve the right to end the auction at any time. Check my feedback and bid with confidence. There is a $500 deposit due via Paypal within 24 hours from the end of the auction. Goodluck! On Apr-24-11 at 19:26:29 PDT, seller added the following information: I went ahead and had the front brakes done and the truck stops perfectly now. Just wanted to let everyone know that this was done and you would not have to mess with it, it's ready to go!!
