In San Diego area and up for NO RESERVE auction is a nice and very rare 1988 Toyota Corolla GTS Twin Cam with a heart pumping 5 speed transmission. There's not too many of these true Japanese sport cars left and especially one with no rust. This is a non-smoker car. If you are new to Ebay with 2 or less positive feedback, please email me with your phone number before you bid. When this car was donated, it had 222,640 mies on it as will show on the title. I had put 758 miles on it and it currenty has 223,398. It had not given any problem at all. I drove it so much because it's great on gas and it's much fun to drive. It gets 30+ mpg. I had no break down. Engine is strong and good. Easy to start and runs great. All gauges in the dash show good readings. Oil pressure is very good. No smoke or knock. Cold start idle is 1,800 rpm and it drops down to about 1,200 when warm. Even the clock works. Transmission shifts nicely, clutch works well. AC is not cold. Not sure if it needs more than just charge. Has a sunroof but it doesn't works. Can hear the motor. Probably off track or cable issue. NO RUST. It's amazingly rust free. Most of the ones we have seen in the past has lots of rust especally around the sunroof. It's pretty nice. Paint look original and is pretty good. Has some paint chips. Body is fairly good with a few small scrapes, there's miminal dings and scratches. There's a small dent on the right door skin. There's also a dent at the right end of th front valance. In some of the photos, the hood was left ajar. It does close tightly as can be seen in other photos. Please look at the photos closely as they do a better job in describing the cosmetics than I could. Upholstery is good. Dash has crack underneath the custom fabric wrap. Steering wheel leather is very scratched up Set of 4 matching Riken tires are very good. Wheels are nice. Brakes stop well. Has clean and clear CA title for the auction winner. Registration is valid until Jun 24 2011. Plates go with the car. Will do smog certification for CA buyer at additional $50. If it doesn't past, the sale is voided. We don't stick people with cars that doesn't pass smog. Smog inspection is not needed for out of state or foreign buyer. SOLD as is with NO WARRANTY! I can get the car shipped to a port in Long Beach at additioal $300. On Apr-20-11 at 16:57:11 PDT, seller added the following information: Car has passed smog inspection. A CA smog inspection was done 4/19/2011 at 230,399 miles and it passed with flying colors. No adjustment was needed. It shows that the engine, ignition and emission system on this car are all very healthy. There won't be a $50 charge anymore for CA buyer. The printout wil be given to the auction winner, CA or not. OK, I messed up slightly on the mileage. The title and bill of sale at time of donation on Jan 4, 2011 was 227,640 miles. I just checked the documents. Mileage the picture was taken last week as shown in the last photo is 230,398. That means I drove it 2,758 miles in 3 months. Wow, where did I go with it? It gave me no problem those 3 months.
