Vehicle Detail

I am listing this for a friend but I do know the car as well as he does. It is a 1970 Dodge Challenger, floor shift auto and A/C. It needs a full restoration. He was told it is substantially complete. He bought it from a body shop where they had stopped work on it. It is dismantled but the drivetrain is in place and all of the body sheet metal is on it. The parts that have been removed are in the car except he can't find the front bucket seats. The car has rust, what a surprise that is! Both 1/4's above the tires, the rear frame rails, the front edge of the LF fender and I am sure other spots also. One of the body men from the body shop where the car has been parked looked over the front frame rails and the floors. He said all are good with a couple of quarter size holes at the rear of the front rails. He said in a restoration he did he would replace the rear frame rails, the rockers, patch panel the 1/4's and just do repairs on the balance. It has the, I am told, R/T hood. The fender tag is there and it codes out to be a 318, automatic and it had a vinyl top. The 1/4's are red with a black stripe going around them and over the trunk lid. The car is primered for the most part. He has the clear title. It is best to just figure you are buying a 1970 Challenger that needs restored and it is in better shape than most I have seen. It is restorable for sure and I am sure it will be restored. This is a relist and I will cancel any bids made by anyone with less than 10 bids unless you contact me. I will not sell it to anyone in Europe. The car is in the process of being moved to Woodinville Washington just north of Seattle There is no reserve and this is not one of those No Reserve auctions with a starting bid of high retail. The opening bid is $200.00 and we will see where we go from here. All are ok with little rust. I had the body shop person where the car is parked go out and get under it. The floors and trunk are fine with the exception of a couple of small spots the size of a quarter where the front frame rail mounts in the back. Rockers need replaced anyway and that will be the time for that repair. He said in a restoration the rear frame rails and rockers will need replaced but that is all. He said the floors and the front frame rails are sound. On Apr-14-11 at 18:32:32 PDT, seller added the following information: If your feedback shows you have given a negative feedback within the last 100 transactions please call me prior to bidding. I am seeing more and more people tossing around negative feedbacks for the slightest glitch when it is usually buyers remorse and they just want the money back. On Apr-20-11 at 03:20:08 PDT, seller added the following information: I will deliver it to a Montana area, Idaho, Washington within reason for 300.00. It will be delivered within a couple of weeks or so after payment has been received. Contact with any questions about getting it dropped off.
