WE WELCOME ALL BUYERS WORLD WIDE!!! Up for auction is an absolutely gorgeous 1964 Corvette convertible that is ready to drive show and enjoy! It is absolutely gorgeous and turns heads and draws a crowd where ever it goes and everyone knows there is no better investment than a mid year corvette! This C2 is impressive from any angle. It offers a very solid rust free frame and has never been wrecked or damaged! All of the bonding strips are in place and all of the body alignments are excellent. The doors open/shut with ease as if new with a nice tight sound. I purchased this C2 from a very nice gentleman who was probably in his late 60's and was told he was the 2nd owner and the car has ONLY 53,000 actual miles. He purchased it in the late 70's and drove and enjoyed it a few years and then placed it in dry storage until 1986. In 1986 the car was taken out of storage and received a professional restoration and was completed in 1987 and garage kept and driven very little since. The restoration on this car has held up wonderful and in fact looks better than most cars I've seen that has only been restored a year! During the restoration there was a problem with the original block so it had to be replaced, and the car now has a more desirable 65 327/365 engine that has been completely rebuilt and offers plenty of power with a smooth dependable ride! It still retains its original heads, intake etc. and has a 4 speed transmission that shifts through the gears flawlessly attached to the factory rear end! This has to be one of the better cars I have ever had the pleasure of driving. (When you set behind the wheel of this one and feel how smooth it drives and how tight it is you can tell it is a car that has never been tortured or abused and the miles are correct!!) All of the stainless and glass are original to the car and look wonderful. The convertible top, emblems, bumpers, etc where replaced new during resto and still look terrific. The tail light bezels are original and show some pitting. This car has one of my favorite color combos for 64 which is Daytonna blue w/ new white top and dark blue interior. The paint is of high quality and is very slick, clean and straight. It is not flawless since it is 20 + years old but when you look at this car it is mindblowing how well it has held up! I have seen paint that is only months old that does not show this well! I would rate the paint a VERY strong 8.5 on a scale of 1 to 10 w/ a 10 being perfect and keeping in mind a new car can be picked. The interior is very clean with NO rips tears or wear! All of the gauges work properly and are clear and brite just as if the day it was new and the factory radio still plays great on both bands. This car has NO mechanical problems NO leaks NO funny noises or NO issues what so ever! Everything (except emergency brake which needs the cable) on this car is in proper working order as designed lights, signals, horn, instrument gauges right down to the factory clock even works. The headlights work up and down great but are a little slow since they have not been used much.
