Vehicle Detail

Reluctantly selling my 70' beetle. I just purchased this car last year and I have only put on a couple hundred miles since, however, we are currently buying our first home and we could use the extra money. This car was restored by the previous owner a couple years ago and he did an absolutely beautiful job. Here are the details: Suspension: Airkewld full air ride setup with air shocks up front and bags on the rear. pump and tank are located in the front (trunk) area as seen in the photos. The system works awesome and is a great ride. It has 4 switches (1 for each corner) and dash mounted guages for each. automatic pressure switch shuts off the pump when the tank is full. It has approximately 6 inches of travel top to bottom. The system was proffesionally installed and lines and wires are all hidden. Engine & Trans: Original 1600 single port engine was rebuilt during resto. It has a custom exhaust with header, fully chromed 75 amp alternator conversion kit, chrome doghouse fan shroud, all other engine tins are gloss black or chrome, chrome fuel pump, braided fuel line, Warnefor Design air cleaner. I am not sure if the engine has stock internal parts or not, however, I have had several beetles with 1600's and none have pulled as strong as this one, it pulls great and it can cruise at 90 mph+ with no problems. Engine does not burn oil and does not smoke. The engine compartment is highly detailed as seen in photos. The Transmission is the original 4 speed and shifts smooth and quietly. The clutch was also replaced at time of resto and has zero issues and grabs great. Wheels & Tires Original steelies have been media blasted and refinished white with new center caps. They are wrapped in smart car tires in excellent condition, front @ 80-85% and rear @ 70-75% tread life remaining. (rears have slight camber wear as seen with most lowered bugs). Interior: Seats have been recovered with white TMI covers, Dash has been refinished to match, Custom monster Hurst shifter, headliner looks original and is excellent, floor mats look new, all sliders and adjusters on seats work properly, Brand new repro ivory steering wheel and horn ring assy all door cards are also in excellent condition. The car still has its original gas heater and it works perfectly. Interior is also highly detailed and looks great. Body: The body and paint on this car have been proffesionally done at time of resto. The body is super straight and the paint is high quality and sparkles in the sun. this car looks like it was basically a rust free car prior to the resto with its original heater channels and floor pans still intact and in excellent condition. Most of the original vw undercoationg is still on the underside of the pan, and paint on top. The bottom of the pan does have some minor scraping from speed bumps and what not. The car was painted with Endura in its original color and looks fantastic. It has been driven in the summer months since resto so it has some very minor stone chips and other minor imperfections. All body rubber and window seals have been replaced, as well as chrome trim. The car has an early bumper conversion kit with brackets installed, and H4 headlight kit, doors fit great and open and close perfect. The windshield has only 1 very small chip, all other glass is great. This is a super clean car that needs nothing to cruise or show. It is a blast to drive and it turns a ton of heads. I'm sure I forgot something, but if you have more questions or would like pictures of specific areas please feel free to call me @ 780-910-2654. You are welcome to view and test drive the car if you are a local buyer. I will deliver for free within 100 miles, weather its to your door or to meet a car hauler. Will also assist with loading if necessary. You will not be dissapointed with this car. The reserve is set at a fraction of the build cost. I have an appraisal from the previos owner for $19500, I am looking for nowhere near that! Thanks for looking.
