Up for auction is my Italian Red Honda VFR800 FI Interceptor in excellent condition. I bought this around 2008 from WOW Motorcycles in Atlanta showing approximately 14000 miles, due to work commitments the bike has seen little use and is now showing just over 18,000 miles. This is the last year that Honda produced the VFR with the famous gear driven cams. As you can see from the pictures, the bike is in very good condition with just the occasional mark that you would expect on a bike 10 years old. There are a couple of small marks on the right hand side fairing panel that appears to be from a stationary garage drop, it has also marked the engine casing slightly but as the close up photos show it is barely noticeable. There is also a tiny dent in the fuel tank which I did not photo as it wouldn’t show up and its hidden under the Baglux tank bra. Tires are in great condition with less than 500 miles on them. Brake rotors and pads are in great condition. Forks seals are in good condition with no leaks. The chain and sprockets seem to be in great condition but I have not replaced them since I have owned the bike. Engine oil has been changed twice in the 4000 miles that I have covered since I have owned the bike. The only negative point I can say regarding servicing is that the valve clearances have not been checked which according to the workshop manual should be done at 16000 miles. According to the VFR owners forum, they do not need to be checked until later in the engines life. There are no mechanical problems with this bike. This is the second VFR800 I have owned and it has been 100% reliable. I have not experienced any problems with the rectifier which affects earlier VFR models. The bike is fitted with the following useful extras:- LSL Bars – this raises the riding position to a more upright stance. I also have Helibar Clippons that came with the bike. If you prefer a more sporty riding position, I will fit the clippons before you collect the bike. Baglux tank cover, which protects the tank and holds Baglux tank bags. Power commander and Twin Brothers exhaust, which gives better throttle response and perfect fuelling. I do not have the original Honda muffler. K & N air filter. Low mileage examples of this bike are becoming rare these days, so if you are really looking for the last of these VFR’s then please bid to win and you will not be disappointed. If you are unsure about buying this bike or do not have the cash to purchase it then please leave the bidding to a genuine buyer. The bike is fitted with Bridgestone BT016 tires. I am including both the LSL bars and the Helibar clip-ons in the auction. I do not have the Honda owners manual but I will be including a Haynes workshop manual. The full Honda toolkit is included. There are two keys included which fit all three locks, the gas, helmet lock and ignition. Finally - sorry, test rides are not offered.
