Vehicle Detail

Absolutely solid 1966 Oldsmobile Toronado. It is registered, insured, and driven at least weekly. It has had one repaint in Trumpet Gold, seats were redone only because they finally started having issues along seams, carpet replaced at the same time. No doubt there are nicer Toro's out there but not many, and none that I have seen in the Dallas area. It is really loaded with Tilt/Telescoping steering,Cornering Lamps, Cruise, Rear Defrost, PW, PL, Air(Climate Control not just AC), PS, PB, and more. Not sure if mileage is correct but based on everything would not suprise me. Simplified description for people like me: Looks great! This car runs wonderfully, starts right up, shifts normally, stops normally. It has new tires and all maintenance is done as needed mechanically, recent tune up. Interior is super nice from headliner to carpet, dash is nice. Paint is really nice overall but it looks as if they were a bit light on the basecoat in a couple of small spots. I don't think the exterior will dissappoint just things I notice. OK on to more details. I tend to error to the conservative side so the pictures tell the story and I will probably make it sound worse than it is. Mechanics: I drive this car at least once a week or so to keep it and me happy. It starts right up everytime and runs great. Most everything has been gone through at least once over the years and there are no mechanical issues at all. Only thing that wears on me is when the roller rockers were installed the motor has a bit more noise to it. Bugs me, but mechanic says it's sound so he can remove them or leave it.....so I left it. CV joints are fine, exhaust will need to be replaced eventually but works fine. Car is actually very quiet and cruises happily down the road at 70mph straight as can be. Headlights work as they should, as do signals, brake lights, etc. Wipers work. All windows roll up and down normally. Seat works. Air Conditioner is all there but does not work. Power Antenna does not go down anymore, but radio works normally. Cruise is all there but does not work and I have never had it looked at. Exterior: Car was repainted in Trumpet Gold Metallic. Base coat clear coat. Epoxy primer foundation. It looks great but like I said there are a couple of small areas that could have been done nicer. It seems light on basecoat in the right light. Trim was removed before paint and every single part is on the car with the exception of the thin door trim on the drivers side. Everything looks really good as far as stainless, the bumpers have a couple of small spots where chrome peeled off. The front bumper needs to be adjusted and this is the only real exterior issue I can think of. It is just not aligned right as you can see in the photos. Bottom of car is amazingly solid. All glass is good, doors open and close normally. Interior: Beautiful. The inside of this car is really amazing considering it's age. The headliner is perfect, dash is nice, seats, carpet all look wonderful. All instruments work, gas, temp, alternator, speedo. If you live nearby please come see the car, drive it, kick the tires. This is a VERY nice car that can be driven daily without issue. Turns head, looks great, very few left and this one has lots of rare options. Anything in particular, just ask. Thanks.
