This is a relisting for a 2000 Ford Explorer XLT 4WD 4DR. Serious bidders only please! This vehicle was purchased as a commuter vehicle with 103,000 miles on it. It was previously owned by a former employer for their sales staff. As you can see the exterior is in very good shape. Since purchase it has also served as our vacation vehicle making many long trips for camping and also towing our fishing boat weighing approx. 2,000lbs. In fact we just returned from a 200 mile trip to Chicago and back. Tires are 35,000 miles old with plenty of wear left. Transmission was flushed and the intake gaskets replaced at that time as well which by the way, is the only time it has ever seen the repair shop. Front brakes are roughly 10,000 miles old but I'm unsure of the rears. The A/C works and I tested it with my own gauges last summer. There is a battery light which has come on intermittenly for the last year or so; however, I checked the battery and alternator and they both work fine, likely a sensor issue. I work as an agricultural mechanic so I do know how to check these things. But if there was an issue, it would go to the shop. I occasionally see a drop of oil on the garage floor but it has not used any between changes. It has been garage kept as long as I have owned it. All switches and buttons work. I've tried to show any cosmetic issues in my photos. Fuel mileage really depends on what you're doing, I have gotten as many as 20 on the intersate. Generally speaking you can expect around 15 for normal driving. I had decided a year ago to keep this car until it finally broke down but I'm afraid that will never happen so I decided to sell.
