Vehicle Detail

1965 Mustang. We paid $4500 and put over $2,500 into this car. The car has a 1964 1/2 dash in it. Also the front end has the upgraded front with lights. The following work was done: New Gas Cap ($45) State inspection, new radiator, replaced ignition switch with electronic ignition switch, brand new tires and wheels ($1300), replaced spark plugs and spark wires, Timing adjusted. It does need spacers for the front wheels. ($1476 in garage work done 11/10). It needs seatbelts, turn signals, body work. The car runs, engine sounds great. Interior was replaced when we bought it, new headliner in a box in the car. Car cover included. Needs trim piece above windshield. When we took it to the garage they left it sit outside for months, and the paint started to bubble. We talked to a body garage and they said it was originally rolled on and will need a paint job. We were quoted $1,000 for the body work. New trunk lock included, but it needs the trim piece for it before installing (you will see in the pic that there is no trunk lock). We have a spare transmission that goes with the car. The car slips gears when driving, we were told that it's a minor adjustment needed. We are not mechanics or car people, so this car is better suited for someone who enjoys working on old cars. The garage says it's a 200CID, LG, 3.3L. When I took this to garage, they returned it without putting the stearing and dash (finishing touches) back together because they assumed they'd be working on it again. All the stuff is in the car. This will be a gorgeous car when finished. We are selling the car with a bill of sale only. We purchased it that way. We have had it about a year. I couldn't find the VIN number on the car, the VIN number listed is the one on the title. When we went to the notary for an R title, we did paperwork and in the mail, she in turn gave us a title for a 1965 Mustang, not sure if it matches the car becuase I can't find the VIN number on it. Either way, I don't know how legit that is, so we've decided it's best to sell without a title. We may work something out with the title if we can see if it matches, however we are not held responsible for any discrepancies. Email for more info regarding the title situation. Either way, you can easily get an R title for it, so it shouldn't be too big of a deal. For more info, please contact us. Buyer is responsible for all fees associated with picking up/transporting the car. We had it hauled in on a car carrier--relatively inexpensively. ***This car is advertised locally and we have full right to pull the listing before the end of the listing to sell it privately. We are not held responsible for any errors in this listing. This car is described to the best of our ability. Car sold as is.
