Vehicle Detail
> We take trades, Please call Brad for questions or an appointment to see the car: 386-503-9364 Victor Klans walked into Gran Turismo, an authorized Jaguar sales and service center on October 2nd, 1973, in Eastlake, Ohio, and walked out with a beautiful, lightly used 1969 Jaguar XKE Roadster in Regency red with a Black leather interior, while trading in his 68' XKE Coupe. He had a taste for the E-Type with his coupe but knew that he had to have the most coveted Roadster. Over the next 37 years Vic loved and babied his Roadster, keeping it garaged under a car cover until that beautiful sunny day came along to take it for a ride. Vic only accumulated 44,875 miles in his 37 years with the car. We were able to purchase this vehicle through Vic's estate sale. Vic knew this car was something special and kept it his whole life. We have the original bill of sale, original title, and some books and a major service record. As I take a look around this car I can tell it has been cared for. As I look around the exterior the front and rear bumper chrome looks excellent. All other exterior chrome looks original and in good condition with some minor pitting. This car was rustproofed using Ziebart many years ago, and it shows, the panel fitment is excellent and there are no signs of rust anywhere. The exterior appears to have one repaint some years ago and looks great, very few minor rock chips and imperfections(No cracking, peeling, or dents). Most of the interior appears to be original and in very nice condition, including seats, gauges, steering wheel, carpet, door panels, Etc. The top looks to have been replaced and is in good condition with no rips or tears, and the top frame looks great. The tires are in great condition with no cracking and plenty of tread left. Mechanically the car runs and drives very well. The original Matching numbers engine starts up every time and sounds great with good oil pressure and it runs very cool. Compression numbers are as follows: Cylinder 1: 160 Cylinder 2: 170 Cylinder 3: 165 Cylinder 4: 158 Cylinder 5: 165 Cylinder 6: 160 The transmission shifts flawlessly, clutch is strong, and the car does not leak any oil. The car has almost all new weather seals including door, bumper, convertible frame, and trunk. The car also has an updated alternator, but it comes with the original Lucas alternator which is ready for new Diodes. If you are looking for a well sorted, very original, solid XKE Roadster you have found it!
