Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is a 1993 3000GT VR4. I have owned the car for 6 years and have loved every minute of it, but I am looking to sell to get a more practical vehicle. The short block of the motor was rebuilt by Powersource Performan ce in Fox Lake, IL about 2 years ago with brand new CP Pistons, but the car has only 1500 miles since the motor was put in. Heads are stock minus the addition of the ’99 lifters. Along with the motor, the timing belt, oil pump, custom solid front and rear motor mounts, a transfer case brace, MSD DIS-4, plugs, tensioners and a multitude of other parts that I am forgetting were also replaced. The car was lowered with TEIN lowering springs and 3SX rear adjustable control arms. A custom intercooler and piping system was installed. The car has a 3.5 in GM MAS with a MAF translator, RC550 injectors, a 14B turbo in the front and a brand new 16g in the rear. The car had 14b’s in the front and back, but the rear turbo was burning some oil, and was the harder to replace, so I put in a 16g. The car has no cats, a stillen downpipe, borla cat back. Electronic suspension, (sport/tour) still works. Rear wing needs a limit switch and front air dam is removed. Powdercoated front valvecover and fuel rail. Walbro 255 lph fuel pump. Genuine Italian leather reupholstered seats with custom embroidery. New (1500 miles) south bend stage three clutch with Fidanza aluminum flywheel. Bostwick amp with 10” kicker sub in trunk. Battery moved to trunk with fuses at both ends. Aftermarket gauges. SAFC in conjuction with the maf translator. Innovate wideband o2 (LM1 I believe) that is in the glovebox. I think it needs a new wideband sensor or it needs to be cleaned because sometimes it goes a little nuts. Sony head unit. Brand new tires uninstalled. RFL BOV and manual boost controller. There is so much that I am forgetting about this car, but it has been sitting for roughly a year due to loss of interest. Turbo Timer. Capacitors were replaced in ECU as precautionary measure. Also has lazy eye headlight conversion. BAD: AC doesn’t seem to work. Worked until last summer. Might work with recharge. Needs new tires (included) and alignment badly. Car wanders due to misalignment and uneven tire wear due to not being aligned after car was lowered. Buyers are encouraged to inspect the car before bidding. Car is not perfect, but has treated me well. Car is sold AS IS, WHERE IS with no written or expressed warranty. If there are any questions, feel free to call (815) 560-1297. I don’t want any trades unless for 99 or newer ford powerstroke. I reserve the right to end the auction early. Please feel free to ask any questions and I will answer them to the best of my abilities. Only sells to continental US. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. This car has been previously listed but did not sell. During the previous listing, I had numerous people asking the reserve price. I am making it totally clear that the reserve price is lower than buy it now, but I will not publish this number. Update: This car was listed last week when I had it taken off due to newly found issues with the car. I took the car in for alignment and to have the new tires put on and the shop said that they couldn't align the front right tire due to a bad mount in the front right control arm. They tightened everything up and put on the new tires and the car tracks straight and drives like a champ, but it isn't aligned 100%. The fix is very easy. The part can be found here: http://www.3sx.com/store/comersus_viewItemBundle.asp?idProduct=1445 and it is a very easy fix. I am relisting in unfixed condition, although the car drives great currently, but the brand new tires are wearing unevenly. I DROVE THE CAR THE PAST TWO DAYS AND IT RAN WONDERFUL.
