Vehicle Detail

2010 BMW R1200RT, in excellent condition, loaded. Thunder Grey Metallic, has the Premium Package plus another $2K in goodies. Here's what the bike has- ESA, ABS, Radio with Mp3 Input, Cruise Control, Heated Grips, Heated Seats, Adjustable Power Windshield, Large Top Case, Corbin Saddle (Heated, Driver only, passenger is stock heated), BMW Navigator IV GPS with BMW Mount. Regular seat height (no ESA with the low seat option....). Other things that come with the bike- Cee Baily Sport Windshield Dark Smoke (Not on the bike, but included, and great in the summer), the stock saddle, an Aerostitch Tire Plug Kit with one plug missing (tire replaced). May you never need it, but it's great to have. Important to note- Installation of the Corbin Heated Saddle required clipping the stock harness connector and replacing with the Corbin connector, so if you opt to re-install the stock seat (which is too soft, like all BMW saddles) you'll have to put the correct connector on the seat or the harness. The Warranty is good until March 31, 2013, or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first. Here's a link to BMW's site for the bike- http://www.bmwmotorcycles.com/us/en/index.html With the premium package, the bike lists for about $20,500 new. The BMW Navigator iV and mount and wiring go for about a grand. The Top Box goes for about $700 (awesome accessory, removes in a second, holds 2 full face helmets), the Corbin about $550, and the Cee Bailey windshield is about $160. So new cost on the bike would be in excess of $23K, plus tax and set-up. The bike is in great shape, never dropped, no dents or scratches, runs perfectly, dealer maintained per schedule. The tires both have 3000-4000 miles left on them. There are 2 small cosmetic things. 1- My wife dragged her boot over the passenger seat once, and it left a minor scuff, which you can kind of see in the picture. The other you can see in the picture of the front wheel and fender. There is a white stain on the black plastic behind the front fender, I think I stained it with wheel cleaner.... I think it could be scotch-brighted out, or Armor-All Blacked (can't find that stuff anywhere anymore), or something to cover it. Or it could just be replaced. Never bothered me enough to do anything. Neither is major, but this is a high end bike, and we want no surprises. It has spent it's life in a heated garage, winters on the Battery Tender (also included). I love the bike, and it's been properly treated. I have all manuals, service records, the original packaging for the Navigator, everything. This is the first year with the new HP-2 derived heads, and redesigned fairing. It's a great powerplant, with great torque, and it sounds better than older boxers, too. This is a great touring bike. Light, agile, comfortable. The ESA is a great thing on this bike, set it to "Sport", and it's great in the twisty stuff. Set to "Comfort", it's a cloud on the interstate. Between that and the adjustable Windscreen, you can find a happy spot on this bike in any conditions. This bike is a great example, looks and rides great. Read my feedback and bid with confidence. I'm selling due to some personal health issues. I love the bike, but can't ride for a couple of years, and it would be a waste to have this machine parked that long. Here are the details- I won't end the auction early, please don't ask. If you have to have it NOW, please buy it now. Keep in mind, ANY bids that are not for the Buy-it-Now price, will wipe out the Buy-it-now option. So if you think it's a fair price, do it before someone bids short. The bike is not listed locally, the auction will run it's course, and it will sell to the eBay High Bidder. So if you're bidding, you control your own destiny, no one will pull the rug out from under you. I will help to ship the bike, but the arrangements and all costs are the total responsibility of the buyer. Payment is as follows- $500 deposit due immediately upon auction close via PayPal. Balance within 72 hours via Cashier's Check only. If you are in the area, you can make arrangements to view the bike. If you have any questions, please ask them before bidding. Bidders with Zero or negative feedback need to contact before bidding. Good luck. UPDATE- A helpful fellow e-bayer told me how to get rid of the wheel cleaner stain, and I am happy to report that it's gone. So, please don't let the picture turn you off, the black plastic is once again black. UPDATE Part 2- I think I could have worded the auction terms a little better, because a couple of people have asked for clarification- The minimum bid of $15,900 will sell the bike. So if you bid $15,900, the Buy It Now option disappears, and it's up to the highest bidder, the bike will sell at the end of the auction on Sunday. There is no reserve, with a starting price of $15900. Sorry about the clumsy wording!
