Vehicle Detail
This is a beautiful and original 1921 Buick Roadster — it's a car collector's dream. Driven weekly. According to the previous owner (from Sacramento), this roadster is a long time California car. The car starts, runs strong and climbs hills well. The straight 6 cylinder engine runs great with only 25K+ (unverified) miles showing on working odometer and speedometer. This Buick roadster is titled in California and is currently licensed. Except for the upholstery, this Roadster is original including the wooden steering wheel, honeycomb radiator and artillery spoke wheels; even the exhaust cut-off just forward of the muffler!! The Roadster even has the original black-on-black paint, which is still in very good condition (with touch-ups). Quite possibly, it's the only 1921 Buick Roadster left with its original paint! All gauges, horn and speedometer are original and working. All electric are fine. Drive train (engine, transmission, clutch and rear end) and brakes are fine. Fuel vacuum system works fine. No water or fuel leaks. Oil leaks are very minor and normal. Artillery wheels look very good. Tires are in nice shape. Fabulous standard features such as multi- disc clutch, combination engine block and head, valve gear enclosed in cages for easy insertion into engine, and combination starter/ generator: all working well! The vehicle was reupholstered three years ago, including the top, side curtains and top bows. Our cat did add some scratches on seatback. Undercarriage is clean. Car is garaged. This is a turnkey automobile.Included with this sale is the original 1921 owner's manual, hand-crank, and wheel nut wrench. This big Roadster is fun to drive and gets everyone's attention. Shipping will be up to the buyer; seller will co-operate with loading. This is a good time of year to come to Santa Barbara for a test drive!!Questions are welcome. A payment of $500. is requested at close of bidding, closing within ten days.
