Vehicle Detail

Greetings all, I'm relisting my '1949' Chevy Dump Truck, I have owned this little truck since 1992 and it has been a dandy and always took me where I was going and brought me back home. I'm not giving it away but the reserve is low (under 2200) for a nice truck. If it doesn't sell this go round I'll set her back in the shed and let my son haul the mulch for his momma and haul brush or whatever to keep the farm looking good. It uses some oil and recently it started leaking brake fluid. From my wheel chair it looks like a line close to or master-cylinder. But my son added brake fluid when he used it until we can get it checked out and repaired. Odometer has not worked since I bought it and that is what is on the title. It hasn't been more than 25 miles from home and I would guess that less than 5,000 miles have been added. Just farm tagged and home use. Also, the horn doesn't work. I'm disabled now and unable to climb up or get behind the steering wheel or work on it or keep up with the little things which need to be attended to. I haven't driven it in 3 or 4 years now but my son has and hauled off trash and gotten mulch or dirt for his momma. Last fall he hauled off 2 loads of left over building materials from my new added on room and a load or two from the garage. So it hasn't been left completely unattended. I keep it in the barn as shown in the one older picture, and it starts right up and all the lights, turn signals, and even the inside dome light works. I run the 6 volt original heater on medium because that's like on high on the 12 volt system. It will keep you plenty hot on the coldest days. The windows are OK and it has a good paint job in flames. Even the interior has been redone and is in flames as well. You'll look really neat going down the road to get your wife that load of mulch. The dump works fine and I welded a 3/16 new floor in 3/4's of the bed a few years back. The tires are the same ones I drove 80 miles home in 1992 when I bought the old truck. Sometime in the late 90's I found a set of wheels and tires holding air and bought them. So when I got a flat I just changed them out... I believe there are a couple or the spares still holding air and they all go with the truck. I've never overloaded her or drove her over 40 to 45 mph. I've painted it twice since 1992 and a friend helped me flame it in 2008. My son pulled it around from the barn to the garage last weekend and my grandson and I washed all the dust off and we took some up to date pictures this week. Oh yea, it still has the original owners manual to go along with it. In 19 years of owning it all I've had to do is normal maintenance; I painted it because I use to enjoy piddling with these oldies and still would if I were physically able. I just hate knowing it's sitting there and not being able to fool with the old gal. So I've set a fairly low reserve and hope to see someone get her who will enjoy her as much as I have. I've put 2 videos on You Tube. Don't know how all this works so here are the address links. You may have to copy and paste them so you can see the old gal running. I took them yesterday in the driveway. My wife and grandson are the operators... I just give orders from my wheel chair. LOL But you can see how great she is in the pictures and videos, (smile) 49 Chevy Dump Connie girl moving it around http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o-xMn_4EG3U 49 Chevy Dump going up and down.
