Vehicle Detail
For auction is my 1989 Jeep Cherokee Laredo, and a whole mess of parts. The Jeep has been well maintained by it's first owner, and by me, it's second owner. The Jeep is from Michigan, but has little rust for it's 22 years. What this Jeep really needs is a new paint job! As you can see from the photos, the clear coat is peeling from the hood, roof, and some vertical surfaces of the doors and rear liftgate. I don't have the equipment, or facilities, to give this Jeep a proper paint job. I considered having a cheap "Maco" paint job done for this auction, but decided to let it go "as is". Someone with some body work and painting skills could make quick work out of this one. The photos include a listing of all the spare parts I've accumulated over the years. Please do not ask me to sell individual parts, as they all go to the highest bidder. The powertrain is in great mechanical condition. The engine is strong, the transmission shifts smoothly, and the transfer case works as designed. The vehicle has a factory towing package, cruise control, tilt wheel, power windows and locks. This was the Laredo package, and really has most options available. I have a very complete documentation package including original window sticker, factory build sheet, service manuals, sales literature, and many more items. I'm including a framed picture taken when the Jeep was new. As for things it needs... The A/C compressor seized the first year I had it. The previous owner said he thought the condenser was leaking as well. I looked into having these items replaced, and felt the repairs were to expensive for a Jeep that was only an occasional use vehicle. This is a very fun vehicle to drive around in. We take it on our "color tour" up north each year, and it has never disappointed us. The two-tracks and seasonal roads were no problem for this Jeep. The Jeep is available for inspection by your mechanic any evening or weekend. Many more additional photos are also available. Please note the four page spare parts inventory sheets shown in the photos. This auction includes a vast collection of parts specifically for this model Jeep. All parts are going to the highest bidder, so again, please don't ask me to sell individual items. Good Luck Bidders! Someone is going to get a great vintage Jeep! We take it on our color tour up north every year, and drove it to Godrich Onterio last fall. I have no reservations about taking this Jeep on long road trips.
