Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a VERY NICE 2002 Ford Explorer XLT 4X4 with a mere 118,519 miles. I bought this truck for my wife in August of 2002, but now we're a three-car family and old faithful has got to go! The wife has always been easy on this SUV, and I'm very particular about keeping my vehicles clean and maintained, so you're bidding on a well kept family vehicle. If you're familiar with these great vehicles you'll know that 100,000 is nowhere near "end of life" for this model, so you can be confident that it has many happy years of trouble-free ownership remaining! This Explorer has AM/FM radio + CD player, running boards, tow package, newer tires, PLUS at 118,509 miles I dropped $1,174.13 with Firestone Complete Auto Care to totally replace the front bearings and seals (both sides), and conduct a full rotate and balance on all 4 tires, perform a full alignment, and put BRAND NEW BRAKES AND ROTORS on the front. THIS EXPLORER IS TIGHT AND RIGHT!!! The V-6 is plenty powerful for whatever you need, and it's easy on gas compared to the V-8 option, which is a good thing in these days of rising gas prices. It has the third-row seat with rear air so there's plenty of room to spread out. Oh yeah, I had the air conditioning system flushed, cleaned and filled just last summer so it has the COLDEST of COLD AIR!!! There's no rust or dents on this vehicle, but there is a slight paint blemish (about 3" long) on the front bumper to the left of the license plate on the passenger side, and the beauty plate with the Ford logo is cracked beneath the rear lift glass. The glass is not cracked, it's just the painted plastic panel containing the Ford logo BELOW the glass that is cracked. In fact if you look around at many Explorers on the road or in parking lots you'll notice this is a VERY common problem on this model. These are VERY minor visual blemishes, and are less than you'd expect for a vehicle of this age. This SUV is clean inside & out. Everything works great, tranny is smooth, engine is strong, tires are newer, brakes are brand new and solid. I've owned this vehicle since August of 2002, so when I say it runs great I can say it with high confidence! Maintenance has been done, oil/filters changed regularly, and transmission was flushed and re-filled with brand new fluid just last year. BID WITH CONFIDENCE ON THIS ONE, DON'T LET IT SLIP BY!!! The winner is 100% responsible for pick-up or delivery of the vehicle. A $500 non-refundable deposit will be due within 72 hrs of auction end via Paypal. Remaining balance can be paid either by cash at pick-up timing, or else cashiers check PRIOR to pick-up. Vehicle WILL NOT be released until all funds have cleared.
