Up for Auction is my 2000 Subaru Legacy Outback. I am selling the car because it needs some engine work or a new engine installed. I don't have the time to deal with it so I'm selling the car. Had a mechanic look at the car and his diagnosis was a spun rod bearing. The car had a noticeable knock for the past 5000 miles, but now the knock has a squeal with it. Engine still runs but it is rough. He said the engine could be rebuilt or a new/used motor could be installed. Other than the that the car drove without any problems, still shifted smoothly for as many miles, and had decent fuel economy (around 25/26mpg). So it is an excellent car for someone who has the time and interest to the engine work. Everything else on the car is in great condition. The interior is perfect, no tears in the seats or carpet. The exterior in shiny and paint looks new. Only one minor crack in the paint on the rear door. Passenger side front inner CV joint boot is torn, just noticed it since last oil change. Crack in the windshield, but all other glass is perfect. The car is loaded, power everything, and everything works. Tires are Viking norway snow tires with 90%+ tread life left on them. Had regular all weather tires on them before winter but those were shot, so only have snow tires to go with the car. Had recently tuned up the motor with new Bosch spark plugs. Great car to drive in all types of weather. Nice sound system with CD stereo. Has plenty of room in it being a wagon. I have tried to describe the car the best I can.
